IMO a converted floor tom with a regular snare would still sound better
but then again, id love to see somebody play something like that here :-D

parang mas malaki nga yung kahon niya mismo eh...pero ang lupit din nung concept...check niyo yung website and yung videos...and lupit din nung tunog..medyo matining lang konti yung toms pero lupit ng tunog nung snare...

It's made in Sweden. Almost every gear made in Europe is expensive in this side of the world. What's the Phil. Peso - Euro conversion rate right now?

Stack stock hats! Di ko na kailangan ng china! :-D Naging baliktad na kasi yung bend ng bottom hat e, kaya yun, nagmukhang china, tapos trashy sound pa rin as usual. Yung dating top hat yung nagbibigay ng sizzle. (http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b16/gojira_99/Drums/02-10-07_1506.jpg)

danngggg!!! that snare is deeeeeeeeeep!!! ang tunog siguro nung snare is "towg"!!! hehehe...
Since you mentioned that, what is the difference of the snare drum used in a Marching band than that of a drum set? I have thought of this before, what if you use a marching snare for a drum set, will the sound be ok? Just curious..

Ginawa nilang w/ floor legs yung snare kasi kung nasa snare stand mahirap mai adjust yung height in relation to the Hi hat and toms. Tapos kailangan mataas ang upuan mo.

it's obvious that it's a fakie, bro...
the photo was edited by maybe photoshop or some other software.
there's a big inconsistency on the shapes of the reso holes from the angle of the 2nd pic from the first.

staccato drums are for real. meron dating mga MTV na gamit yun at yung isa pang equally weird na north drums (owner of a lonely heart video ata ng yes). yes fiberglass sila yari
trixon speedfire drums. oval shaped bass drum at meron pang console mount yung older version pero yung nasa pic mukang modified na. ang concept nung german inventor (hans ??? forgot the last name) e 2 single pedals yung ikakabit mo sa bass drum para makakuha ka ng 2 sounds (small and big)
another trixon, telstar series naman. pansinin mo yung weird bass drum ulit. 18" sa drummer's side at 16" sa batter. conical bass drum naman
eto contribution ko: http://www.trixondrums.de/trixon/trixon3a/elcaminos%20japan.jpg

Just to add up, ung egg basket mounting system provides crack sa snare sound and sa kicks nagbibigay ng depth and thump (more punch), hence giving the kit a thick, dry sound. :-) grabe lang talaga dito is ung pag set-up, parang ang hirap assemble nitong kit na ito from the box. hehehe :-D
