My favorite drummer/s: vinnie colaiuta, dave weckl, dennis chambers..

My musical influence/s: the dave weckl band, weather report, karizma, front page, mar dizon, vic mercado, beatles, dream theater.

My favorite musical style:  Progressive metal or rock basically

Drummers I listen to(or try to rip off hehehe):  Mike Portnoy, Neil Peart, Simon Phillips, Mike Mangini, Terry Bozzio, Carter Beauford, just to name a few

My musical influences:  I started out listening to Guns n Roses, Nirvana, but played mostly Eheads songs until I discovered dream theater, steve vai, mr big, I'm very much influenced by 80s hairbands if you know what I mean

Gear I use:  A very old, very local Premier kit,Tama 5.5x14 birch snare, Fernando concert toms, LP tambourines, 14" AAX Stage hats, 12" A custom splash, 16" ZBT crash, 18" ZBT crash/ride, 20" ZBT ride,
8" Edge splash, 16" Edge china, 14" ZBT hihats, Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide double pedal

I'm a proud drummer because of the simple fact that I can play drums

Add'l info about me:  I'm also a car enthusiast, a husband and a father, and I listen to a lot of guitarists as well.  Infact, I set my monitors so I can hear mostly guitars as to vocals and bass

I started pretty late in drumming, parang si jimi hendrix mga 16-17 yrs. old.   

I play drums for mostly myself, at nung high school banda ko which was BANana

My favorite musical style/s: Old School Rock, All types of Jazz,pero as of now yung shuffle, New Rock kasi may double peds ako, and OPM...as of now yun lang... 

My favorite drummers internationaly are Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Hubb Jansen, Tommy Igoe and Mike Portnoy (at mareami pang iba), in the local drumming si JP an lufet, si Allan Bordeos ng Kamikazee, Din-Din ng Parokya at yung bulag na drummer na nakikita ko sa Greenhills na kasama dun sa bulag na banda ang lupet niya )

Dami ko na mga musical influences ehhhhh....anjan na rock, jazz, OPM at iba pa......

As for my drum gear....I'm a proud owner of a Pearl Session Series (90's Model, old skul) Drum Kit, Complete with Sabian B8PRO Cymbals and a TAMA IRON COBRA left-footed double peddal

 
I love the instrument and I love the work...and trainning and spending long hours just playing the drums to perfect the beats and grooves and getting yelled at for playing so loud....because you could see in drumming that hard work really pays off. GOD BLESS DRUMMERS hahahaha

Additional info: I like drums, a lot. Below is an old pic of one of my kits. I've since converted the kit to a 5 piece with 2 floor toms, 1 rack tom, a 5 ply steve jordan snare with the same bass drum. I also started using Axis double pedals (switched from Iron Cobras after 2 years) and a mix of Meinl and Zildjian A Custom cymbals. My brother and I (also a drummer and multi-instrumentalist) play DW and Mapex Saturn Series drums.

I've had no formal lessons, so I TRY TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY to base beats and grooves on drummers I watch on live gigs. Kahit sa tipong Up Dharma Down o Urbandub na gig may nakukuha ako.

A Gretsch Maplywood (Maple+Plywood) Piccolo, Gibraltar Pedal, Hat stand, and Cymbal arm, Scimitar Hats and Ride, and a ZXTi Splash (Currently Crash-less). Oh, this gear is on a generic LA Drumset with remo heads.

I'm a proud drummer because:
You're the backbone of the band! You get to hit things! You sit down while everyone else stands up! Seriously, it never fails in venting out my frustration. It's an outlet, and a very productive one at that.

I played classical piano for around 8 years. It wasn't my calling, so I moved on to the noisier percussion. Oh, and I can't play guitar worth -bleeep-.
