i don't think magiging sobrang stable ng windows vista. haha. as of now, gumagawa na ng bagong OS ung windows (windows 7) and irerelease nila sa 2010. pero nagbago isip ng mga tao so baka daw irelease nila sa mid-2009. they probably gave up on tweaking, programming, and coding and have seen how they could develop a much better operating system. although of course, i might be wrong. hope this helps.  :-)

coz basically, if you're more of a gaming person, windows vista will be the best operating system for you.

as well, you should make it to a point that you have all the best hardware specs that you could put in to your pc. coz if not, vista will just go to waste.

:-D hope this helps.  :-D

vista will push your graphics card harder because of it's DX10 feature kaya babagal nga yan. 4gbs of ram and a nice gpu (9600gt above) upgrade will do you good kung vista kaparin.

I use XP on my main rig, and Vista on my laptop and backup rigs.

But really, Vista isn't as bad as people claim it to be. Yes, it's a resource-hog, but if you get over the REAL minimum requirement (which is 2GB of RAM and a DX10 videocard if you use Aero), it's plenty fast and is actually more stable if kept running 24/7. If we put this in Linux terms, Vista's "kernel" is more stable than XP's.

And about annoying popups - I turned off UAC on day one.

But why do I still use XP? Cause I use a few legacy programs. But if you don't, then Vista isn't really that bad an OS. Yun nga lang, Windows 7 is a much better performer.

switch to the Windows Version that works. It's no use to stick to Vista if you can't get any work done with it. I have still been using XP in my computer, which is more than capable of running Vista Ultimate. But i have stuck with XP because Vista is just not workable. hope this helps.

Vista is a resource hog.

XP SP3 (not the home version please...) is far better than Vista when it comes to performance, stability and usability.

But still the best in all of them is the "Windows 7"... nuff said...  :-)

Performance-wise, XP.
