Church Song Lineups Sharing Thread
« on: August 14, 2013, 09:25:01 AM »
I just want to start a thread for all of us to share song lineups from our services at church.

This will be helpful to all of us to have new ideas for line up for certain themes or services in our churches.

format should be:

> type of service? (tagalog/english/youth/etc)

> theme of lineup (if there is any)

> FAST/SLOW
> song title?
> artist?
> song key?

HAPPY SHARING TO EVERYONE! :D

I will start... :D

SUNDAY SERVICE
Theme: Love God, Love People

for FAST SONGS

"His Love" by Hillsong (key of E)
"Say So" by Israel & Newbreed (key of E)

for SLOW SONGS

"Pursuer of My Soul" by Christ for the Nations (key of G)
"Everlasting God" by New Life Worship (key of G)

for Victory Song

"Happy Day" by Jesus Culture (key of G)

just a clarification:
praise songs doesn't automatically mean those fast and upbeat songs. same goes with worship, it doesn't mean those ballad-type, slow songs. it's about the song's message.

Yeah, it may be  either a solemn song/slow song or a fast song  :)
Terms we often misuse sa church, praise= referring to joyfull fast songs and worship= solemn songs....
All Christian songs should be songs of praise and of worship as well. God bless guys
Deuteronomy 8:18 "But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

Sorry I guess I didnt make it clear.. hehehe

FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD ONLY:

I was reffering to PRAISE=FAST and WORSHIP=SLOW,
VICTORY SONG=LAST SONG before the service ends.

but you are exactly right that PRAISE songs doesnt just means that it is a fast song and WORSHIP as slow songs.. :D

THANKS for the corrections

If we want to be strict with definitions: Praise and Worship has little to do with music and more to do with how we live our lives :)

My Worship Lineup last Monday (September 2)

Hillsong - Go
Hillsong - 'Til I See You
New Life Worship - Here In Your Presence

I really felt the Holy Spirit that night as I sang and played bass in all of these songs.  My prayers were really heartfelt and I could feel the whole ministry felt the message of last Sunday's Gospel.

Mga kapatid share ko lang ito. Last Sunday's service our line up were the following:
1. Shekina Glory by Bethel
2. I just want You by Planetshakers
3. My God Reigns by Abundant Life Ministries
4. Praise You Lord by Planetshakers

After the third song, medyo maluha-luha pa yung iba dahil sa congregation ng bumanat kami ng Praise You Lord, pero sumabay pa rin lahat, masaya kaming lahat na pumupuri sa ating panginoon. A day after, one of our song leader who's on-leave commented na dapat daw ang arrangement ng line-up should or must always be, first two songs (Praise/Upbeat Tempo) then the third and fourth song (Worship/slow tempo).... And he made mention about the Tabernacle of Moses for of worship.... So what do you think guys???

TIA at God bless....

for me hindi kailangan fast songs muna then slow songs.. it depends on the message of the songs on how you glue it together.. ung arrangement na lang ang tutulong para maganda ang flow ng praise&worship kahit ganun slow songs pa ang nauna.. hindi dapat nakakulong sa fast muna then slow, dapat kung anu yung hinihingi ng pagkakataon ang gawin..

one example that I remember is when we linedup "awesome god" by hillsong and "our god" by israel.. nagsimula kami sa mabagal or "solemn" na type tapos pa-climax then pasok kami ng our god na mabilis ang areglo..  :)
