I think the excellent
Wildlife, is much much better than
Limiters..But that's just me.
With this album, you can feel the other guys are really into helping and contributing in terms of songwriting. Still, parang mas oks pa rin ung Beautiful Machine and Wildlife.
Pero i'm not saying that the album is not worth our hard-earned bucks. There are still a lot of fave tracks and ear candy that you can dig your ears into: the opening "Let Her Rip", the LSS-ish fave "Distortion", "20-20" which is for me another Buendia masterpiece, lyric and melodic-wise,the Yano-flavored and addicting "Pikit-Bukas" (pwede ring pang single ng Rivermaya to) and Pusakal. Still not bad, right?
Wala pa diyan yung TNT which for me lacks the sprite of say, Mono bloc or Sala. Yung Morning Gift ni Wendell, at first few bars animo RHCP ung intro. Yan ung mapapansin mo sa new album, may hint of trying new stuff. Which is ofcourse a good thing.
Is it me or is it Pupil just maturing? Or both? Or baka naman
nasobrahan lang sila ng pampalakas?Overall rating, syempre, being a fan, PANALO pa rin ang Pupil. What with all the lack-luster local albums mushrooming everywhere....this is still a GEM.
O sha, guys, ano sa tingin nyo?
