Let us create a drum lesson (video/print/audio) resource list for all of our members to share. Please post here URL's/links/shortcuts of any drum lesson you may have come across over the net and a short title and an optional description or comment about the contents.

Let us create a LIST ONLY as to keep things organized so NO OTHER COMMENTS PLEASE AS THEY WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE (eg. wow! ayos! galing! thanks! ok toh ah!..I hope you undersatnd)

Let us use this template for uniformity, simply cut and paste, and please do HIGHLIGHT the titles: (and also my 1st contribution as they are operational links)

Title:
URL:
Description:

Title: Vic Firth 40 Essential Snare Drum Rudiments
URL: http://www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments.html
Description: very good instructional on the 40 rudiments with video, audio, and play along for some

Title: DrumBum Lessons Database
URL: http://drumbum.com/lessons/
Description: very wide selection of different drum lesson links

Maybe some can learn a thing or two from these videos so I'll post this thread link here as well:
Online Drumming Videos Thread: http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,15950.0.html

Let us help one another create an effective and informative resource center in our very own Pinoydrums!

TITLE:  DAVE WECKL CLIPS FROM "NATURAL EVOLUTION"
URL:  http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=evolution+weckl+site:youtube.com&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
DESCRIPTION:  you tube clips of dave weckl's "natural evolution" video (not the older "back to basics" where he used a diff technique).  in the clips, he talks about his grip and hand techniques.  he stresses the importance of relaxation.

TITLE: DAVE WECKL CLIPS FROM "BACK TO BASICS" DVD
URL:  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&hs=f0O&q=back+to+basics+weckl+site%3Ayoutube.com&btnG=Search
DESCRIPTION: a younger dave talks about hand technique as well as bass drum techniques (like raising the bass drum to shorten the path of the beater)

TITLE: YOU TUBE LESSONS BY DERRICK POPE
URL: http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=derrick+pope+site:youtube.com&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
DESCRIPTION:  drummer derrick pope talks about  HAND TECHNIQUE, MOELLER, HEEL-TOE METHOD (FOR DOUBLE BASS, TOO), DOUBLE STROKE in a series of you tube videos he made himself.  if anything, he's funny!  also, he explains how one can use the moeller method to speed up your single stroke rolls (jim chapin was right -- moeller = turbo for your hands)

TITLE: BERKLEE SHARES
URL: http://www.berkleeshares.com/drums__percussion
DESCRIPTION: berklee also has great lessons on-line called berklee shares:
i highly recommend the one about rudiments for the drumset (no. 17). you'll find that the one Mar Dizon demonstrated on the Mapex Drum Tour in QC is on there too (RLLRRL). the "lessons" are basically clips from books authored by various berklee teachers.

TITLE: MARK WESSELS' RUDIMENTAL TECHNIQUE
URL: http://www.vicfirth.com/education/technique/wessels.html
DESCRIPTION: 14 exercises to improve your hands. i particularly recommend the lesson on doubles and his explanation on how to use the middle, ring and pinky fingers (including exercises to strengthen those fingers).

Description: has videos for the technique...  thread also has discussions with others including tim waterson. vruk pedals also mentioned... worth viewing the videos, trying it out and also reading the thread.. also looks like length of board and size of feet aren't restrictions in doing heel toe...

Title: Drummerworld, the drummer's resource

URL: http://www.drummerworld.com

Description: If you are searching for a specific drummer and would know more about his styles, go to this site then push ctrl+f then type away the name of the drummer you're looking for. You can also find good in-depth analysis for different drummers' set ups, pictures, mp3s, samples and lessons from them (Virgil Donati, Akira Jimbo, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers etc.) It's also a good resource for drum lessons, as musical pieces for drums and drumless tracks are also available there.

There are only two kinds of music, the good and the bad. ; There's no need to classify as long as you can play. -Buddy Rich

Im not having a fun time looking for a place and maybe some of you have some.
Also some things you like to do during practice. Maybe I could learn something new today.
