i see then. 'novelty rock' isn't what pinoy bands are all about. i think i was right when i thought you haven't explored the pinoy rock music scene yet. are you familiar with the pinoy bands listed in this thread? haven't you noticed that no one of them fit for the 'novelty band' title? true. there are loads of profit oriented bands in town today, i just hope they wouldn't represent the entire pinoy rock music in the minds of some people.

I respect local bands and their work pero diba ang mga real genius dto sa pinas di sikat di nirerecognize??independent cguro kung sila me chance makikilala me mapipili na akong best rockband sa pinas???

try nyo pong makinig ng mga songs with deeper meanings... chatchy sounds is for only for entertainment

Yes i agree that DT is way better than Kamikazee pero ang di ako palo eh putting down a fellow filipino down.

thing is, pinoy rock scene is a thick book na hinusgahan mo after reading two pages. tapos sabi mo critic ka. i understand, ang mga nakikita mong banda eh yung mga under ng 'sistema', at hindi mo sila nagustuhan. ok that's your opinion. pero yung igeneralize na as a whole eh ganun ang nangyayari sa local scene from what you can only see, ahh... tsong, di naman ata tama yun.

we're not against anything here (we're not against foreign music). sana lang buksan mo rin yung isip mo. kung hindi mo gusto kamikazee, o mymp na nabanggit mo, o kung sinong famous bands na kilala mo, hindi sila sapat na batayan para magjump agad sa conclusion ang isang critic. yes they are a big part, but not enough part to consider para magbigay ng isang general statement.

additional to that... if your really a critic superweak... you shouldnt be bias on things your sayin. Again... There shouldnt be any comparison between foreign rock scene and filipino rock scene.

Do you know your filipino rock history?

Filipino Rock History:
Do you know Bob Aves?
What band and songs do they play?
Who formed Juan Dela Cruz Band?
Who are the members?Name 5 of their songs...
Do you Know "Petrified Anthem Band" (kasabayan ng Juan Dela Cruz Band)?
What songs from this band do you know?
When did "The Dawn" started?

If you cant answer them all simple questions... you dont know what filipino rock is..

I haven't heard that person even tell us what his knowledge of the Pinoy music scene is (nevermind if it's rock, pop, major or indie). Huwag nang tuunan ng pansin, kasi medyo halata na walang alam talaga, nasisiyahan lang na napapansin yung kaniyang mga sinasabi.
