cool! I'm already considering of shifting totally from Canon to Fuji but I guess I have to wait pa for a new camera to come out since di pa talaga at par ang performance ng X-T1 sa DSLR.
sa tingin ko dipende kung gaano mo ka gamay yung camera at occasion. i will not shoot a wedding with the x100s alone, i love my nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 for tight, close up portraits. pero kung events lang at travel, i'm happy with the x100s. good thing i sold my d300 and replaced it with the fuji, best decision ever. pero it will not replace my full frame nikon for really bad lighting and strictly no flash situations.
what i love about the fuji x100s is you can start capturing "kodak moments" instead of being too technical about the camera. you cannot change the lens on tis camera kaya kelangan mo maging close sa subject. kung tamad ka at ayaw mo madumihan, it will show in the photos. it's light weight and not as bulky as a DSLR.

Mabagal naman ako mag-shoot pero lalong bumagal pa sa Fujifilm. Haha. Basta maglabas lang ang Fujifilm na medyo mabilis-bilis pa sa X-T1 (AF lang naman), pwede full-frame, and expand more with their lens line-up (I actually need a fast telephoto zoom na lang when I get their UWA lens) then I'm really done with DSLRs. I don't like primes lens kasi kaya lang lumakas hatak sa akin ng Fujifilm because of their 10-24. :))

Question, same lang ba ang RH ng Fuji cameras with DSLRs? Kinakabahan ako kasi baka magkaiba sila. Nilagay ko lang sa isang DIY drybox yung D600 & X-E1 ko. At 45-50% RH.

Any feedback on X-A2? I held one pero di ko na-test. Closing time na kasi halos yung store. Anyway, I read some reviews pero syempre gusto kong malaman yung personal feedbacks. Since entry level camera, plastic yung silver parts. The one I saw got 1-50 kit lens.

actually dude yung X10 ko fixed lens lang yun.. ang pinaka accessory nun is lens hood and shutter button extender..

kung matuloy ako maka iskor ng XPro 1 yun ang replaceable lens.. kaso angmahal ng mga Fuji lens.. so ang pwede gawin is to use a 3rd party lens for UWA or MACRO (either canon or nikon) tapos gamit nalang ng bracket/adaptor.

kung yung X100T naman ang maiiskor ko eh fixed lens din sya.. pero meron option to buy a lens accessory (WCL-X100) to make it wide angle..

well.. in my case, binenta ko na yung D90 ko para sa compact micro-four-thirds camera..
mas madaling dalhin ang mga compact cameras like the ones na inaalok ng fuji.. I may not getting the same "shutter response" na nabibigay ng mga DSLR pero image quality wise eh wala halos pinagkaiba..
mamimiss mo nga lang siguro yung malakas na palo ng shutter ng mga DSLR.. maliit kasi ang shutter mechanism ng sa fuji eh.. maliit kasi ang kaha.. yung sa X10 ko nga hindi pa mechanical shutter pero sobrang satisfied naman ako sa photo quality.

Just set the ISO to Auto ISO minimum 200 then Aperture Priority. Yan ginawa ko nung nagbakasyon kami sa US last December and taking photos was a breeze. May dala rin akong DSLR pero halos hindi ko nagamit dahil mapaka convenient ng Fuji X100s, sobrang gaang dalhin. Kelangan nga lang ng extra batteries at SD card.

traded away my Nikon D610 and got a X-T10, 35mm f2 WR and got a freebie 27mm f2.8 pancake. now targeting the 18-55mm kit lens. :-D

im using an X-pro1 with the canon kit lens.. wala pa ko pambili ng fuji lens hehe.. nagagalit na si misis sa budget. =)

baka may idea lang kayo if ok gamitin ang canon flash 430ez to my fuji cam? kasi nun tinry ko manual ... 1/128 or lower.. tapos 50mm to 35mm distance.. mejo may dark part or area un image ko... compatible kaya .. or pwede gamitin to my xpro1 or hindi..?

check mo ung pins ng speedlite mo. kasya naman yan un nga lang contact lang manual flash lang magagamit mo. ung sakin kasi xt10 then YN460III ok naman kahit naka triggers ako.

sakto lang nman siya kapag nilalagay.. ang problema is un my dark spots kapag nagfaflash ako.. parang underexposed un baba na part.. kahit nakatutok sa taas un flash ko or nakatutok sa subject.. :cry:

may sync speed kasi ung mga flash. so ung shutter speed mo dapat hindi tataas sa sync speed ng flash. Usually Canon 1/200s and Nikon 1/250. Meron din mga High Speed Sync like SB900/SB910 ung mga high end na speedlite.
Try mo babaan ung shutter speed mo to around 1/200s or below pa.

I don't have experience with Fujifilm but have watched them closely . I would definitely go for the latest generation meaning XT-20, 24mp, improved AF over the XT-1 and that kit lens is also pretty good for that size and zoom range.
Not that there is nothing wrong with the XT-1 for I'm still pretty much tempted to buy second hands for they are getting affordable here locally.
If I would be buying into the Fuji system id go X100f. Perfect for street and that 23 mm equating to 35mm on full frame 35mm is a truly workable focal length for me. Improved AF and that leaf shutter with built in ND filter is just so handy.
Couple that with teleconverters and your good to go.
Cant go wrong with XT-20 though....good luck.

i went with the old x-t1. it came with the 35mm f1.4, and that was the deal breaker for me. sa benta sakin body pa lang ng x-t20 un, and mas mapapamahal ako kasi ill still get a lens. mukhang mageenjoy naman ako either one sa kanila. for now ihaharabas ko muna ung xt1 sa street, naexcite ako again to shoot street haha

pero oks parin x-t1. bang for the buck yang 18-55 bro never ako ni let down nyan. May wedding ako na SOOC lang solb na si client. oks din yan 35mm 1.4 medyoo ung af nga lang :D mas mabilis ung f2.
planning to get x-t20 but parang mas need ko another 6D body. ang hirap! pwede rin x-t2 but mag full time fuji na dapat ako nun. may parating kasi 35mm 1.4 art.

As much as I find light and convenient so tempting I still love my Nikon gear. I'm gonna hold on to them as long as I can but I wont deny the power of mirrorless.
I have solidified even further my relationship with the Nikon F-mount by purchasing a manual focus lens. This is where Nikon rocks...it has tons of legendary glass from vintage to modern.

M selling my Nikon d3200, with 35mm f1.8 prime lens.. too big for street photography. its not that it dont serve me well, its just too big, pag na sa street ka kitang kita at pansinin ka, tapos lahat naiilang.
im happy with x100T, compact tho kapos sa f stops (being a Bokeh-whore), light weight, pwedeng transfer agad sa phone then snap seed then upload agad. okay for an event like 24 hr project (which is will be on april 1).
Not to mention the film simulation (oh i love the ClassicChrome). being slow on focusing is not an issue for me, i am into films anyway.

sa mga malls madami fuji distributors. pero sa availability madami sa fb selling groups. Fujiph unit naman tinda nila kaya sure sa quality. ung mga grey units mas mura at your own risk nalang ang pagbili.

sir x100T, apsc size sensor with 28mm f/2 fixed prime lens which is equivalent to 35mm focal length ( due to crop sensor) . yung black ang nabili ko dahil during that time kakalabas pa lang noon, pero mas maganda aesthetically
yung chrome finish. what i love about it is the retro styling, it looks like a range finder, para kang naka fake lieca M9 na maliit. everything is with dial as if you are using a film camera, shutter speed and aperture, except for the iso.
what i like the most is yung film simulation, classic chrome (based on Kodak Chrome film) is my favorite, yung sa bago X100f meron nang Across ( base on porta something monochrome), but i think you can have it by tweaking the
settings of the monochrome default. Other things i like, wifi connect to your smartphone where you can edit with snapseed then upload agad, time lapse, viewfinder that has 3 modes, EVF, Optical, and my favorite combination of both,
optical with an inset evf to check the focus (parang rangefinder), the parallax correction is not that accurate. you can also set a film simulation bracketing, iso bracketing, etc, that means the camera will render 3 different mode per shot.
it has HDR ( which i dont use), you can also choose to shoot RAW files (which i think the film simulation have no use, i shoot Jpeg, thats why i bought this camera coz of its rendering capability).
What i dont like: slow focusing, when you use the auto focus, in accurate display, better upload sa phone the images so you can review it properly, the metering is somehow in accurate depends on the simulation you use.
battery life - napaka ikli. Bokeh is not enough due to maximum aperture is only f2. expensive accessories hehehe.
all in all, i love this camera, inaalikabok na DSLR ko, i can carry it almost everytime. due to its negative attributes mas pinipili ng iba yung sonny a6000 dahil sa focusing speed, well di naman ako action/sports photographer mas ok sa akin
yung may disabilities na para kang naka film camera, i shoot streetphotography, i dont need super sharp images, i embrace grains. its the story what matters most. hehehe.
hope naka tulong mga pinagsasabi ko, im abit bias about it, hehehe.

Musta naman yung EVF nya is it wide and bright?
Lots of ways to go round the slow af so thats no biggie with digital its all spray and pray and instant chimping capability you can adjust.
One of the main things i like about the X100 series is the ability to use any flash for the leaf shutter capability nung cam. This is the feature that makes this line so valid. I am trying hard to justify purchasing one....maybe down in a few months.
I dont have a fuji but know is the time to get into it with the X100f specs and the latter models going down in price.

nakita ko na yung site, ang galing nga, may pag asa na yung mga sony users, hehhee.
Thats why I bought Fujifilm cam, dahil sa film simulations, i love the chrome and i shoot Jpeg. i trust x100t's rendering, i am a lazy editor, i just use snapseed, and only do crop and minimal post editing.
Pero dahil dyan sa mastin labs na yan na eenganyo akong bumili ng A7 hohohoho

Binili ko yung portra hehe. Took a lot of convincing kay misis, naki swipe lang ako sa card nya eh hehe.
May free DLs sa net pre. Nakita ko portra, fuji and ilford b&w. Balak ko naman pagkakitaan kaya binili ko sakin. Yung fuji na yata next target ko.
Pwede ka din maki ride sa camera groups sa fb, hati hati kayo sa bayad. Not sure kung ini encourage ni Mastin Labs to pero at least binayaran nyo di ba?

nga pala, may sub reddit din akong nakita na swapping ng presets. pwede kung na-acquire mo yung isang paid preset i swap mo sa kung ano meron yung kausap mo dun.

ako din gumagawa ng sarili kong presets sa lightroom. yung isang pc na ginagamit ko sa bahay ayaw na sumindi, may preset ako dun pang denoise ko ng pictures eh :cry:
nga pala, available pa rin yung Nik Collection for download. magandang plugin din yun sa PS at LR try mo.

Wow!! Beautiful family you got there. That 35mm lens looks really nice rendition on the close up on faces and all. One thing I'm scared bout the XT1 is the so called waxy jpegs on skin tones. On your set its not there....tempting to go XT1 and 50mm f2, 35mm f2.

Post pics pre, Xt2s are awesome. Personally id stay away from the 56mm coz its big and heavy and all but that's just me.
50 mm f2 looks promising and the 35 mm f2 for street.

Hi sir, I've not been blogging consistently :) hopefully I will be able to do so more. Thanks also for the kind words. It is my hope that I can represent my faith the best that I can and give glory to Christ. The Samyang is pretty neat. IT balances pretty well on the XPro2. Distortion wise, it depends on how you line up the camera since it is a UWA lens, if you do not line it up properly some distortion on the sides will appear but if you line them up straight then it will be pretty negligible.
