no guitar solo??

in my opinion, what's really important is overall impact of the music itself, not just the guitar solo. mas pinapakinggan ko yung songs na may sense ang lyrics, maganda pagkanta at maganda ang rhythm kesa sa songs na malupit ang guitar solo pero walang katuturan ang lyrics.

personally I think some songs needed a solo, some does not. when I listen to a good song without solo I said to myself, i can create a better solo for this but some songs like "wonderwall" dont need one.  "dont look back in anger" has a really great solo done by  noel galagher I also notice some very young bands (teenagers) dont solo..or they havent found a good guitarist yet...

Exactly! Listening to Toto's "I Won't Hold You Back", Steve Lukather's solo was less than half a minute but it gave much melody to the song. Pero kung wala siguro yung solo, ok din naman siguro kasi maganda na yung kanta itself.

guitar solo is needed in my opinion, though some songs doesnt need one. its like eating lugaw without paminta,kalamansi and egg hahaha

What did it say in that magazine ad?  Lyrics are wasted time in between solos?     Or something to that effect.

Seriously, it depends on the song.  Some need them, some don't.  I tend to listen to those with some.
