20 years since APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION
« on: September 07, 2007, 01:54:23 PM »
What are your trivia, and thoughts on Guns N Roses' Appetite For Destruction?  Are they releasing a special edition of this?

dammit! 20 years na? holy geezer! ang tanda ko na pala!  :-D imho, AFD by GnR is one of the best albums in the history of rock. too bad kurt cobain killed them. :) i thought (back in the days) they were a punk act minus the cowboy hats and boots. kasi si duff mcagan (tama ba spelling?) ginagaya porma ni sid vicious. hehehe. :-D my bad.

I think they should release a remastered version of the album same with Use Your Illusion 1 and 2.

Medyo matagal na.

This was documented on a recent issue of Rolling Stone Magazine celebrating the anniversary release of the record.  The cover was the one with GnR for those looking for back-issues.

The anniversary weekend that the record came out, Steven Adler reunited with Izzy and Duff to play some GnR songs with Steven's band in LA.  I heard Slash was in the venue but didn't go onstage with everyone else.  In fact, he left the place before the band started their set.

maganda i-release nila yung use your illusion I and II ulit pag 20th o 25th anniversary nung album/s.
pero mas ok pa rin kung magrereunite ang GnR sa 25th anniversary nila tapos magperform sila then labas ng DVD nung concert (how i wish tumino ang ugali ni axl rose :-()

appetite for destruction

best album of all time!  :-D

ang album na hindi kinailangan ng ballad / slow rock para magtagumpay. ito lang yata ang rock album na walang ballad / slow rock (only the outro of rocket queen) nung panahon ng glam rock / hair metal / heavy metal.

saludo ako sa appetite for destruction!  :-D
gutom pa ako!  :-D

sa mga gutom pa din..
every thursday may glam rock band sa freedom bar. napanood ko na sila. glam rock talaga. minus the outfit. hehehe.  :-D

A guitar magazine (forgot the title, but it's UK based) interviewed Slash on what if he imagined that APPETITE would be this ICONIC, he mentioned that he just thought it was a good album not the sort that would be celebrated 20 yrs after.

Just some trivia i know.
1. The Tattoo cover is not the actual cover but the illustration inside that shows a LA girl that was raped by a robot
2. Sweet Child O' Mine has one of the suckiest guitar intros ever (but highly effective)
3. Paradise City's original lyrics states "Take me down to the paradise city, where the girls are fat and they got big titties"

Actually, si Slash mismo nababaduyan sa intro.  It started out as a joke to the rest of GNR as a "circus" kind of intro.
