:-( how sad.

For me depende sa function ....

If given the budget ... I prefer electronic drums like Roland TD 20 para sa church.
Mas madaling ma-control ang volume ....  :-D

electrical drums anyone?
« Reply #56 on: January 23, 2007, 10:28:33 AM »
I'm a guitarist talaga but would like to learn drums. :-D

good luck sa paghahanap mo and enjoy!!

mas ok ata yung mesg kesa sa pads.  the pads wear out after a while and the player's dynamics gets compromised.

is there a market for electronic drums?
« Reply #60 on: February 10, 2007, 12:20:12 AM »
I have a question for drummers

With smaller living spaces, would it not be a good idea to put on your headphones and drum at performance level without pissing -off the neighbors?

and with electronic drums, drummers could be more creative by using not just the ordinary sampled sounds and integrating it into their music?

is there a resistance to go electronic? with technology of today, velocety sensitive pads, better better pads to have that real feel of hitting areal drum head?

A set would actually be easy to bring around and whatever unique sound you get to create, you can bring it anywhere.

I'm really curious about this.

Malabo yan sir, Malaking pera kasi ang katapat nyan. And considering the fact na halos pareho ang price ng High end acoustic kit and electronic drums, majority of us would go for an acoustic (I guess)

So Be It.

i'd prefer just a part of the kit. siguro one pad lang, preferably the snare, na may kasamang effects na hand clap, etc. kasi pwede isama sa live yun. kahit siguro yung buong drum pad pwede. pero buying the whole elec. drum kit is for high end players only who can afford to buy. I saw one sa may galleria a few years back. hehe. sarap ng tunog kaso yung feel it's not necessarily the same.

well, lets say a basic 4 piece kit (Kick pad w/ pedal + 2 Tom pads + snare pad + H-H pad w/ pedal + 2 cymbal pads + the sound module) all in a rack  going for around P35,000

and

a higher model 5 piece kit with a more superior model set of pads (Kick pad w/ pedal + 3 Tom pads + snare pad + H-H pad w/ pedal + 2 cymbal pads + the sound module) all in a rack  going for around P49,000

are these expensive in todays standards?

its cheap compared to yamaha and roland  :-D but still too expensive for the average pinoy

im assuming its going to have an alesis module so its cheap considering that the dm5 module sells at 24000 here

just curious sir, what brand are you bringing in?

Sana Space Muffins/Boom Theory!!!

Electronic Drums that look like Acoustics...

medyo mahal lang...

Anyway, I would be interested in the 4pc kit mbenipayo mentioned... especially if it's upgradeable just in case I would want to expand the setup in the future... I'm living in a condo so noise polution would really be an issue here...

anong pong brand to?

ok din po siguro kung may option to buy just the brains/modules and pads separately, and kung meron ding triggers and triggers to midi converter.

siguro po yung iba icoconsider to as accessories para sa existing set nila. Other electronica artists who are drummers at heart might also be interested....

Thank you for your inputs.

Im just checking out the possibilities.  No brand in particular yet, there are a number of manufacturers/ brands that answers the need.

The 4 pad kit would be nice - I think most people buying these would be using them for home or condo use as Dindin mentioned. Would they be usable as MIDI pads that can trigger computers or modules? That would be interesting.
