Blues bruddahs and sistahs -- Gusto nyo ba lalong dumami blues gigs and venues (lalo na sa QC)? Here's one specific thing you can do to help...

May gig ang Blue Rats sa sa DISH (in ABS/CBN) on Thu.  ABS-CBN/Dish is trying to figure out whether there's a thriving and healthy blues market in QC. If there's a good showing this Thursday, this may become a regular twice-a-month contract gig for the Rats and other local blues bands.  Hopefully, other venues will follow suit.   Pang dagdag dun sa mga venues na meron nang almost regular blues gigs like Conspiracy, Mag:net, and Gweilo's (thanks to tele_tubby!)

Sa ayun -- please put the message out there and hakot kayo kasama to watch one of Manila's finest blues acts.

well, maybe not exactly! hehe...

the blue rats have been around over ten years.
breaking into the filipino music scene by force, creating and thus pioneering the pinoy blues scene.

spearheading the movement with a handful of blues bands way back in 1995.headlining jampacked concerts and shows like "Blues on the Loose","Manila Blues Summit"( which evolved into fete ), "Puerto Azul Music/Sports Festival",Puerto Galera Music Festival",and a lot more...believe it or not.

Alongside bands/musicians like Mexicali blues band,Maegan aguilar, Jun Lopito and the bodhisatvas, Binky Lampano, Triaxis ( perf de castro ) Mr.Crayon and a lot more....The Blue Rats have been around during the blues revival of the mid 90s.

The Blue Rats, although having had a million personnel changes...have still kept up to form the standards they alone have accomplished. Through constant gigging and jamming...they still remain, Manila's premium Blues outfit.
