Question to athlon x2 and intel dualcore owners

Im gonna get another desktop for photo editing / photoshopping.
napansin ko pareho presyo ng athlon x2 at intel dualcore. (hindi core2 duo)
pasok sa 15k budget kaso 2ghz yung athlon tapos 1.8 lang ang intel.
parehong dual core, same din yung ibang specs, both have 2gb ram.

Dati kasi mas mabilis yung Athlon XP na 1.7 ghz sa P4 na 2ghz, pero dati naman mas mabilis ang PII 350 mhz sa AMD K6 na 450mhz. (natry ko gamitin at icompare ang mga ito)

kaya duda ako baka lamang na ulit ang intel sa AMD.
kung meron sa inyo guys na natry na pareho, pacomment naman kung ano mas maganda takbo. im just using a sempron now.

they were comparable a couple of months back, pero ngayon ba comparable nalang ang X2 sa dual-core?

yep nagbasa ako dun. 
I meant the old dualcore not the new version core2.
nasa 20k na yung core2 while the old dualcore would be as low as 15k

ang alam ko mas mataas at maganda talaga performance ng intel kesa amd eh...

pero amd fanboy parin ako lolz

pero take note of the power consumption ng dual core... save a little more get the c2d nalang... you'll save more in the long run...

sa experience ko with my laptop dual core T2130, tumatagal ang battery up to 3 hrs., yun bang c2d gaano katagal?
