How to create a backing track

Ladies and Gentlemen,

If it wouldnt take so much of your time, can anybody please help me/us on how to create a guitar backing track? equipments needed, programs, software..etc? :)

the easy way band in a box software. the hard way, midi or audio recording.

-get a midi/audio interface
-a DAW
-softwares for your instruments (keys, guitars, bass), percussion software
-load the vst plugin to your DAW
-record and edit your stuff

that's how I did mine. I'm not really sure if it's the right way to do it but it works for me.  :-D
I'll post a link in a while. someone posted this kind of stuff already.

Buy a midi controlller
learn about midi
DAW of choice i use Sonar X3
collect softsynth and vst plugins for sounds design
a decent audiointerface
