To buy or not not buy Feedback Destroyer
« on: April 21, 2016, 10:07:21 PM »
Mga bossing, I would just like to seek your professional opinion once again. Our church dont have an experience sound tech at the moment and we are having problems with this annoying feedback.

Our set up is 4 wireless mic and three wired mic which runs on a sound craft mixer > 31 band EQ > DBX Compressor limter > Electro Voice ZLX-15P Powered speakers.

Aside from mic positioning and proper eq, we're planning to buy a behringer Feedback destroyer Pro FBQ 2496 to solve the feedback problem.

The question now is this, is it a good decision to buy Feedback destroyer or we'll just try looking for the culprit frequency using the EQ. The problem is, none from among us has technical knowledge on how to zero-in on the offending frequency.

TIA and God bless PM.

Salamat po sa input sir Peeves, another problem po sir is the peculiarity of our place, rectangle po ang shape and the stage is place in such a way that mag ka level na po halos ang main speakers at ang mga singers.
Kung hindi rin po i increase yun gain, the vocals will be lost in the mix. We have 2 electric guitars and 1 acousti guitar, 1 keyboard, 1 bass guitar and drum set po.

Maraming salamat po sa reply Sir Peeves. Noted po yung advise ninyo :-)

We finally bought it and so happy and satisfied with the result.

We now have a lot of headroom, the vocals are now very clearly above the mix, with the feedback lasting only for 1 or 2 seconds after that wala na until the service ends.

Thank you very much PM.
