Haven't personally tried out Novo prototypes pero according to reviews, mas short yung sustain and more on "kang" than "thrash" yung tunog nitong line na ito. As for AAXplosion vs other AAX Lines, mas lighter at more fine ang lathing nito for better volume and projection. Raw bell din ito (yung sa akin ah, not too sure kung raw bell ba talaga dapat..) Normal cymbals fall under the AA lines IMO, since AAX lines cater to specialized versions of the AA lines.

if blend yung habol mo sa main crash, go with dark sounding pies. if cut naman or for accents, go with the bright ones. given the 2 options, I'd go with the AAXplosion anytime. sexy cymbal indeed!

Ask for the pic of the engraved sabian logo. it's somewhere sa taas ng erased AAX Logo. yun ang basehan ko kapag buradong logo yung binibili ko. medyo wary pa ako sa hammering niya.

polish lang naman ang difference nun cosmetics-wise. still not convinced na legit yang item. iba yung hammering from the usual AAX. parang HHX yung hammering ang laki masyado.

legit yan kung merong engraving. yung mga AAX na fakes walang engraving, personally saw a set of 'em. bagong release yang AAX na yan? parang ang laki ng hammering, or baka sa pic lang siguro.

nagtataka nga rin ako eh, pareho siya nung kay IncX, yung mga bago na AAX metal na nakikita ko sa musiciansfriend at sa site mismo ng sabian hindi ganyan, so i assume luma yan,

hanggang ngayon di ako makapag decide ano gagawin kong main crash i play 90's rock like gnr skid row and alternative like soundgarden alice in chains on my other band hehehe. hindi ko pa ginagamit yung 17" ayoko kasi ng cymbals 18" below sizes as crash. hindi ko talaga marinig difference ng X-plosion crash ko at stage crash ko hahaha your thoughts ? ano mas pipiliin niyo main crash diyan sa dalawa  disregarding the 17" ?

On a live setup, magkatunog talaga yang dalawa. Technically, manipis ang aaxplosion at makapal ang stage series pero same ending lang din, loud volume in general silang pareho. For me, mas malinis ang projection ng aaxplosion vs. sa wall of sound ng stage crash (lalo kapag crash riding). I'd go with the AAXplosion anyday dahil sa reason na yun.

I got an AAXplosion crash 18 pero parang nalalakihan ako haha. Baka may 17" AAXplosion kayo dyan pa-try naman hehe.
