Medyo olats nga dyan sa JB Music Glorietta. May pagka-arogante yun ibang sales person.

Like in my previous experience, nagtanong ako kung magkano TC Electronic Flashback. Ang sagot ba naman sakin bago sinabi ang presyo eh, "Sir, mahal yan eh." Mahal nga naman talaga compared sa presyo ng mga courier sellers dito like Pedallion Gear. So when I got my own TC FB, bumalik ako sa JB Music branch na yan para magtanong kunwari kung magkano yun TC FB nila. Pagkasabi ng presyo, sabi ko, "Ang mahal naman. P14k para lang sa isang pedal." Sabay dukot sa bag ko ng nakabox pang TC FB. Sabi ko, "Bakit ito kalahati lang ng presyo nyan pero parehong product lang naman?" Di nakaimik si mokong. Sabay sibat. 

YEAH!!! IN HIS FACE!!! 

OMG!! 14k para sa flashback?!?! eh 2k php nalang makakabili ka na ng brand new na Boss ME80 na nakabox pa with PSU from internet sellers din..tsk tsk..grabe (of course JB is a brick and mortar shop with all the overhead stuff pero man 14k for a 1 dealy pedal?!)
...thank goodness for good internet sellers around..

May kakilala ko, pinapagalitan lang yang mga taga JB glorieta, di sila makaporma, may tinatanong kase syang feature ng eleven rack yata na walang makasagot. Pero in the end binili naman nya. Kahit sa Makati Square na audiophile mabait sa kanya. Ang mga pinoy minsan sobra sobra ang nararamdaman na entitlement but in the wrong situations, pero the moment you walk into  any store as a customer whether youre buying or not, that is when should be treated well and feel entitled.
So far, sa Crescendo wala pa kong sablay na experience, sa audiophile depende sa branch, sa JB strings at cable pa lang nabibili ko, sa Lyric may nagbigay sakin ng sale price ng straplock at fast fret kahit walang sale. Sa RJ megamall pumunta ko last week ang kwentuhan nung 2 sales dude e mga sablay na customer, umalis na lang ako.

yupangco buendia, tagal ko naghihintay pina intonate and restring ang gitarang binibili ko tapos 1 oras na wala paren at di ako inaasikaso nung nirefer the salesman sa aken. pero salamat at di ko binili ung gitara at naka hanap ako online.

may bad experience ako sa JB Glorietta eh. i was looking for a PEARL Eliminator Single Drum Pedal in CHAIN Drive. so tiningnan niya yung stock sabi niya belt nalang daw ang meron. so sabi ko pass kasi chain ang hanap ko. sabi ba naman sakin "pareparehas lang naman yan sir. lalo na syempre, beginner ka palang. baka gusto mo maggibraltar nalang" sabay simangot.

That's the regular price nila. "Non-sale," kung baga. Which is funny kasi lagi naman silang naka-sale. Rainy Day Sale. Back To School Sale. Summer Sale. Anniversary Sale, etc. Recently lang nagtanong ako kung magkano yung TC HOF nila, nasa 11k daw. Follow up question ko was kung magkano yung sale price, 6800 ata IIRC.

But may mga items din sila talaga na hindi naka sale. Strings, picks, etc. hehe

Anyway, back to topic...

I'm a stutterer so may times na hirap ako makipag communicate sa tao. Sa mga pinapasukan ko na music stores na hindi ako "suki," mas hirap ako magsalita at magtanong ng kung ano ano. Minsan kung nabubulol na ako, parang natatawa sila. One time sa JB MoA, napapansin ko yung mukha ng nakausap ko na parang irita na kasi hindi ko malabas yung sasabihin ko.

I have been looking for a Hercules Tab Grab for a while now.  Malilimutin kasi ako sa chords pag kumakanta so kailangan ko ng kodigo pag naggigitara habang kumakanta.  So, every other week, tumatawag ako sa JB branches para magtanong kung may stocks na sila ng Tab Grab.  2 or 3 branches na yung natatawagan ko, puro walang stock.  Finally, nung sa JB Glorietta ako tumawag, MERON DAW!!! 

So, nagmamadali akong pumunta from my office  in Pasay.  Pagdating ko sa JB Glorietta, sobrang excited pa ako kasi ang tagal ko nang naghahanp ng item na yan.  Pucha, WALA NAMAN PALANG STOCKS!!!!!

My officemate reserved a Gibby Classic Custom White  from Crescendo's Black Friday Sale tapos the day he was gonna buy it they sold it to someone else. Akala nila sya daw. O dba. Beri gud.

I didn't even bother.  Nilayasan ko na lang.  Nangyari na din yan kay pareng Mark.  Ganon talaga sila sa branch na yun.  Wala na silang pag-asa.

Para sa mga salesman na arogante.

1)Wag mag-assume na beginner ang customer.
2)Wag mag-assume na walang pambayad ang customer.
3)Wag din mag-assume na mas marunong ka kesa sa customer.

Nakakainsulto eh, kahit sabihin na beginner ako or tumitingin pa lang at wala pang budget. Kahit magustuhan ko yung item, hindi na lang ako bibili. haha

masyado kasi malayao ang rich-poor gap sa pinas..kaya may ganung culture ang mga tao..for me kahit begginer..mas maganda nga na makuha mo patronage niya for life hanggang tumanda at gumaling siya..yun ang pinaka ok na customers..

true din, in defense sa mga kups na tindero..minsan youve been in sh*t job environment for years meeting all sorts of customers good and bad..bitchy to crazy to dum-dums.. minsan talagang magmanifest lang talaga sa work performance mo..
wala ganun talaga..

pero who goes to music shops to buy gear nowadays? usually theyre mostly for string and picks just for the convenience..

May mga tropa ako dati nagwork sa dalawang kilalang stores...ang sabi nila kung sino daw yung mga sales person na nadistino sa sosyal na mall at mabentang branch eh lumalaki ang ulo yumayabang...naisip ko naman baka depende parin sa tao

i think music store sellers have one of the suckiest jobs in the world:

1.) inconsistent traffic. minsan wala talagang tao, tapos biglang sobrang daming tao
2.) 1 customer = a lot of work. setting up the amp, et al inside a cramped store
        2a.) maraming demands ang customer
        2b.) nag tetesting lang pala kasi hindi makaafford, or online bibili
3.) low pay
4.) a-hole management.
5.) outdated purchase system. nakita mo pa yung sistema nila pag bumili ka ng gitara? manual resibo, 4 copies pa, tapos i punch pa sa machine.
6.) magulo ang inventory. nawawala ang parts ng item A, kasi ginamit ni salesman A para sa item B, kasi si customer B, humingi ng favor, etc.

I think it was Sta. Lucia branch. Yun kasi pinakamalapit sa kanila.

He was able to buy a trad pro from magnolia yesterday so its all good.

It is not an excuse. Kahit sa corporate may bad customers. If they don't selling then they should quit.

Lyric Megamall Branch:
Binigyan nila ako ng sobrang laking favor during their recent 50% off sale. I know they bent some rules to make a sale but it's beyond that why I want to share my experience. The person who I was talking to was just passionate enough to rub it off to me. Bought a guitar and an amp head in return of his efforts

Lyric Festival Mall:
I was shopping for an alternate cab. I was set to buy something 'cheaper' but was tempted by a friend who was with me to test out a cab he was set to buy and so I did. That's where my dilemma started. I had limited cash since before even going to that branch, I know already what I am about to get. The cab i tested out made me think if I'm buying the right cab and I think the manager saw me. Lumapit siya sakin at nagoffer ng discount, a huge discount, para magfit yung price ng cab sa budget ko. The thing is, hindi ako nagtanong sa kanya. Siya mismo lumapit para kausapin ako. I mean, alam ko malaki ang headroom nila para sa profit but it's the gesture that counts.

Now I know where to get my gears. See what great customer service gets you? Good reviews and feedbacks. Plus a sale maybe. 

By the way, am I on the right thread?  O kailangan yung bad experiences lang?
