Hi can you share your changes in preferences over the years, regarding almost anything guitar-related. These may be attributed to your growing musical experience, age, health, or some life-changing moment lol
For example sa akin:
-sa guitar body and fretboard color when i was just starting playing around 15 years ago i gravitated towards dark or reddish colors, pero lately i dont know im falling in love with whitish or bluish bodies tapos maple boards, like the ibanez rg370ahmz .
-tone-wise i often went for boogie-y tones but lately parang marshall-y naman
-or dati college girls tapos ngayon mga milfs na jk

dati philmusic guitar central
ngayon, kung saan-saang group sa facebook
-
I used to think of myself as a Strat guy but I was bitten by the Les Paul bug this year. Lol.
-
Dati...wala akong pakialam sa neck shape pero after ko masubukan yung Soft-V neck...gusto ko lahat ng gitara ko ganun ang neck profile (or something close to it).
-
I just discovered that its not the thickness of the neck but the scale of the guitar that made a lot of difference in my playing. And yeah I prefer a chunky neck and a Gibson scale.
-
nice topic!
dati excited pa ako sa pedals at pedalboard, pero ngayon..no way am I bringing a heavy board sa jams or gigs..rekta lang sa amp.
isip pa ako.
-
Pick attack, guitar pot on full, direct to amp set on slight drive. All my pedals are locked away.
-
#sourgrapping :nosebleed:
-
Ayaw na ayaw ko sa telecaster dati. Napapangitan kasi ako sa headstock. Ngayon hindi na masyado.
-
dati, kala ko pwedeng pekein ang shreds and other playing style using effect pedals. Ngayon, nagpapractice na talaga ako.

-
been a strat guy all my life and after all that tone journey i am not settled on a telecaster straight to the amp with a touch of gain.
-
Ngayon hindi na syempre, gusto ko na yung gitara the way it is supposed to look.
-
From high-gain, I now prefer low-gain more.

still not a fan of the tele, but who knows hehe.

This. Dati i bring cheap guitars and a truckload of cheap pedals to gigs. Nowadays I just want a great guitar and a great amp. #TitoMode

hahah #titomode yes!
I figured, come on, bring your nicest guitar and enjoy it (basta wag lang magpahiram kung kani kanino)..enjoy the tube amp tone..and just rock like heck..
-
Back then, i prefer “floyded” guitars. Now, i dig tune-o-matics and fixed bridges.
-
Gassing for a PRS, I want to try..kahit SE muna..lalo yung 2017 na SE ..never saw myself rocking a PRS..pero lets see kung makahanap..haha guitar whoring mode on..
-
-
dati:
- pointy guitars
- high gain
- jazz iii picks, yung maliit
- 24 frets
ngayon:
-
dati:
ngayon:
natuto na paglaruan ang volume and tone pot and enjoying the tones
-
From Ibanez to Les Pauls and Teles then back to Ibanez.
I still don't like Strats or anything with a middle pickup.
-
dati I thought i'd never be able to play guitar without having a "professional" setup
now, I just do the setup myself. really don't care about the action too...im now above 2mm (over the 14th fret) on both my guitars and use lighter .10s on standard tuning. I just raise that thing until I hear no buzz plugged or unplugged. the lighter gauge helps in making it easy to play.

I've had this recent habit na I'd rotate a guitar im playing every two weeks. For the last two weeks I've been unto my tele everyday and now sa PRS SE naman (with that shorter scale), guess what, I think got used to the tele, and the SE doesn't feel familiar anymore. Sasabihin ko its all about dynamics and adaptation (In the way you wanna enjoy the playing and the sounds you wanna hear)

Same experience for me recently. Im still recovering from tendinitis at sa Ibby ako napadalas mag-chromatic spider exercise recently.
