NEWBIE CORNER
« on: March 22, 2007, 12:05:13 PM »
Hello...meron akong wah pedal (Korg AX1G built-in) and manipis/weak yung tunog nya kahit anong klaseng tweaking ang gawin sa built in 4-band equalizer nung multi-effects. I was hoping to get that thick/strong wah sound similar to "Papa was a rolling stone".

Yun ba yung "Papa was a rolling stone, Mama was a rolling stone, everybody's singing tsokolate" ? :D :D :D

Or lalabas, kelangan apakan mo yung EQ, tapos engage mo yung wah, 2 apak pa yun.

So I guess ang una kong naiisip, try mo muna pakapalin yung tunog ng gitara mo mismo :D How about an external pre-booster pedal ? That seems like a solution din. So, you can use the Equalizer as a boost pedal and for tone-shaping na din.

just my 2 cents.

Didn't I answer that in another thread? O.k., baka kulang pa. Before solid-state devices (transistors, opamps, diodes, etc.) were discovered/developed, amplification was accomplished using tubes. Solid-state amps can do essentially the same things that tube amps can (i.e., amplify). The difference is in the tone and feel. The best way to understand the difference is to play through both kinds of amps.

Most people wouldn't have the time or enthusiasm to open up a "questions" thread. Most people would answer because they would see the title which is a question that would turn up the answers from their heads right there and then.

i read this question in guitar world before... and the answer is:

if the impedance match and the thing fits in to enclosure, then yes. it might not have the effect you want, but it will work.

dont hang me, im just quoting those things from memory

and i think the answer to the speaker question:
- I agree with sir IncX, kapag match yung impedance nung speaker, it can work... but physically, baka hindi kasya... pero kung kasya, try it! hehe  :-D

poundcake im sure we have noticed a bunch of threads being redundant, threads posted at the wrong forum etc...maybe a rules thread should be created  :-) just a suggestion chief.

btw, newbies, if the search function seems busted here, try searching at philmusic main. i actually get results there.  :-) we're quite lucky this forum hasnt become fully moderated (in the sense that all posts are screened before being posted).
