what are the things that remind you about local band scene?

gusto ko lang magshare.
naaalala ko nung 2001, tawag sakin ng mga tao 'thrasher' dahil sa porma ko. lol
anyhoo.. long hair, loose shirt and pants, nerd glasses, high socks, pulang chuckte, studs, gate crashing, slamman at headbang, at syempre ang local music scene noon.


those are the things that reminds me of the good old days.

year '91, long sleeves na checkered tapos nakabuhol ng parang pang-ninja turtles sa harap tapos white t's under.. chucks na red tapos maong... tapos kanta ka ng..

i wasnt such a rock fan back in the nineties but anthemic songs like huling el bimbo, laklak, and giyang still take me back to times when kanto boys would be geeting drunk to songs like these, my mom despised it, told me not to be like thos f*gs, oohhh dear me, i'm sure mommy would be so angry wahahaha!

mahirap pala. akala ko basta ok yung songs makikilala ka na. hindi pala ganun kadali yun. pero love ko na siya so im here to stay. sana lang may makarinig ng songs.

nung mid-'90s...yung college getup ko, although di siya gaanong ka-rocker compared to the usual "rocker" getup of the time.  "gwapings-style" na barber's cut (di ata umabot sa undercut), giordano classics, levi's, lumang converse na pangbasketball.  sa isang unibersidad na puno ng mga naka-armani at lacoste, isa akong anomalya.    at ako lang sa block section namin ang pumupunta sa lumang club dredd, nakikinig ng LA 105.9 or even NU 107, at nagcucutting ng class para umattend ng band practice ng katropa.  regarding that, di pa ako nagbabanda nung 1st and 2nd year college, nung medyo mainit pa ang pinoy rock renaissance...i was a late bloomer who had his first band at 18.
