sometimes i use accoustic modeler and/or delay with my flute. most times i just ask the mixer man to put a little reverb.

hmmmm, kahit pala sa wind instruments, a must have ang reverb at delay.  katuwa, ngayon ko lang nalaman.

listen to trombones/trumpets that use a wah wah. :D

im a saxophonist/guitarist. masaya magplug ng wah wah sa sax. benta. hahaha.

trumpeteers also use mutes for a unique sound. :)

do a search on youtube for "paul hanson"

not torotot, but bassoon... saturated with fuzz, played with guitar phrasing. i love his guy, has a great album with dennis chambers on the drums, and a power trio setting with jonas helborg and jeff sipe (shawn lanes guys!)

his use of effects on a wind instrument is tasty, and rebellious :)

haha. sir, merong tumutugtog na may growl. talo pa ang distortion.

nga pala the only "effect" i use is a chromatic tuner. :D hehehe. mas maganda pa rin ang pure tone ng instrument.

there are many kinds of mutes that brass players use

cup mute, straight mute, wah mute, bubble mute, flunger, me even use a piece of cloth to add effects to their sound

+ 1000 Seņor Sushi.

He won JAZZIZ magazine's annual WINDS ON FIRE competition. He also played with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones' LIVE at the Quick DVD. He played with Jeff Coffin (also on winds) and both of them plugged through modulation/filter effects emulating synth patches.

If you want to dig earlier examples, also check The Brecker Brothers' (Michael and Randy) works. Marami silang ginagamit na effects sa trumpet at sax.  :-D

yup. pero mas gusto ni  MIchael BRecker na natural pagginagamit niya ang tenor..
