DJ means Disc Jockey....

So if you're starting to be one you should start from the basics...

TURNTABLES and VINYL RECORDS.

owning a pair of turntables plus a mixer costs a lot of money, not all are that fortunate. Dont know if you read the post. but his budget was around 10K.

Again, it's not the medium that's important, it will always be the music.

try the traktor duo2 interface i think it sells for 12k here in the phil. i believe you can use the keyboards for control so no need for expensive midi controlers, then pag may budget na you can get cdjs or mk2s para mas maganda ang dating, yun nga lang you have to buy an external mixer para maka pag mix ka pero at least buy once cry once ka lng

Try virtualdj.com to download their free software which is pretty much capable then buy a cheap Dj controller like an X Session. Find a nice and cheap soundcard. practice practice practice :) Enjoy lang!

This is not to recognize the plus (not need) to learn mixing with proper Technics decks and all. But for starters, going the computer route is the cheapest way to learn the ropes especially to see if you really "like" DJing because I've seen and know a lot of people who just went with the hype of it because DJs appeared to be superstars and some people wanted to be in on the action without the passion backing it up. I believe those who really get into it really would just simply feel the need to progress and move and learn leading them to get proper desks or upgrade their gear.

Timecode vinyls are all the same irregardless of color...they have the same utility.  If you don't have the box, there is no use for the time code vinyl....

You wanted to figure out who sells Serato Scratch Live here?

Atomix Virtual DJ can use timecoded vinyl without the box...you can directly input your turntable in the mic input of your soundcard then calibrate it...then your off to go...you neen to download a free ASIO4ALL and buy VirtualDJ software...

Red Vinyl has a better control than the rest...
