@Mayhemkid dipende ata kung gano mo katagal inexpose yung shutter mo i think nun maccount as long exposure yun i think kht 1 second exposure long exposure narin ata yun in my own opinion hehehehe

nag Live View Mode ka??? i haven't tried it ill give it a shot di ako kumportable ng Live view i always use the View Finder tapos hhntayin ko nlng result ng image ko. trial and error sakin if over expose edi bawiin hehehe in metering ko sakin in my own way plaging 3 or 4 bars na under exposed ako sometimes dipende tlga sa light condition pag mataas pa tlga araw tlgang nsa underexpose talaga para ma equal ko yung liwanag un experience ko

usually pag crop sensor, use F/8-F/11. for full-frame, F/16-F/22 yung sharpest nila :)

You mean long Exposure requires Live view??? medyo naguluhan ako dun ahh but if your doing long exposure its up to the shooter if live view ang preference nya or sa view Finder i my self nver tried Live view always ako naka view Finder never done Live view sa long exposure

not necessarily you need a live view but it will really make shooting easier and faster especially with the live view simulation of Canon cameras! :)

Lahat ng lens ay applicable for ling exposure as long may 30sec shutter sa camera mo or longer then sa filter madami klase yan it depends ano ang kukuhanan mo city scape ba or seascapes it depends d ka namin matutulungan pag hndi specific field may kanya kanya gamit every filter

kung madalas ka magshoot ng sunset/sunrise, get an ND8 or kung madalas ka magshoot ng mid-day, ND400 pero sa akin lang naman ito so it really depends on your style. i suggest kung kukuha ka ng ND filter, kuha ka na rin ng GND (.9 SE will do). :D

BTW, tip lang, get a decent tripod first bago kayo gumamit ng mga filters and be sure di kayo tamad magdala ng tripod. :D

I'm using a Benro C-1691 with B0 ball head. Carbon fiber siya. Still saving up for a joystick head kasi di kaya ng B0 pag naka-grip/70-200 ako. :)

I use slikpro 700dx but i have plans na palitan ang 3 way pan na head sa ball head mas convinient ang ball head but not in a hurry magpalit :-)
parang baligtad? haha! ewan ko, para sa akin kasi mas convenient pan head compared sa ball head. mabilis nga magpalit ng angle pero ang hirap kasi magpantay ng horizon :)

Oo mdyo mhirap mag pantay sa horizon kaso matrabaho ang pan head form me dalawa dalawa ang mga hihigpitan mo ehh ang sunset at sunrise sandali lng kya need ko mas mabikis ang ergonomics sanayan lng cguro sa pag papantay ng horizon

it depends what kind of Filter you want to buy and what size but both of them offers good Quality Resin Filters but i think hitech is more expensive than cokin but the only thing problem is both have color cast specially 10 stops ng Hitech :-) additional tip make sure na mag research ka more about filter and what kind of density you really need

first time ko narinig schnider. tiffen, haven't tried. singh-ray is too expensive for me but I'm planning to get a 100mm Reverse GND dahil sila lang meron na ganon size at hitech pero di ko pa natry yung 100mm RGND nang hitech. I prefer Lee, mas neutral ang colors. :)

Saan mo naman gagamitin ang ganyang kalaki. The 4x6 filter is more than enough for most UWA lens. :)

I've a 4x6 SE .9 GND dati. Same output lang as their 85mm. May purple cast pero tolerable naman. Medyo mahal siya, around 3500 sa aperture while Lee costs 4500+ sa aperture. Konting ipon lang. :) check out my shots, most of them are shot with the hitech's :)

Never Heard H&y ND filters so i have no IDEA.
By the way @ Coy_2Cute Eto image na sinasabi ko sau RAW yan kinonvert ko lng ng jpeg para ma post ko wla ako ginawang processing jan kung pano sinend sakin ng barkada ko yan sya nag shoot sya ng around 11 or 12 ata ng tanghali ng time na yan hehehehe pra ma test tlga yung 10 stop ng Hitech but na disapoint sya sa color cast so nag switch sya ng Lee Filter complete set binili nya gumastos din sya almost 1k AUD sa Filter set nya for 16-35 Vr nya dati nka 14-24 sya namahalan sa filter kaya nag switch sa 16-35 :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Yup tama yan totoo yan sinasabi nyo na yan sir renel iyan ang Problem sa UWA ko na ang Front element is naka labas na sa Hood but to me 14m ang tlgang prefer ko na wide lens so i'll stick with it. madugo sa bulsa ang Filters but its worth spending kase pretty much thick ang Filter nya so di basta basta masisira at magagamit ko sya for the long run so its still a good investment isa lng ayoko sa knya ang bigat kse tlgang heavy duty ang Filter holder na dedicated tlgang bullt like a tank yung barkada ko nag bigay sakin ng image na post ko sya na mismo nag sabi noong nka 14-24 sya nung gamit nya lee Filter Filter system say dun at sabi nya wlang sinabi ang Lee Filter holder sa quality na gawa ng pra sakin

If you're planning to go serious with landscape photography, with all the long exposure and sh*t, i suggest for the Neutral Density and CPL, go for the screw-type. Then, square filters only for the Graduated NDs (GND). Makes your life easier as a landscape photographer. :)

oo its a must lalu na pag sunrise at sunset ang kinukuhanan mo pero pag after sunset na pag gumabi pwede na din na wlang Filter kase di mo na need basawan ang mga nag bblown out na highlight tama na ang long exposure di lng nmn Filter ang must sa landscape pati tripod hehehe di ka makakapag long exposure pag hand held hehehe

no more time to take photos pero im gonna buy a camera this year, antay lang ako mawala sensor issues ng d600
i sold all my lenses. i used to have a d7000, 70-200mm, 20mm, 50mm, 24-70mm, 105mm
kakamiss din minsan.
dami mo na gear dpat d mo nlng binenta lenses mo d nmn baba price nun:)

@sir Pallas here's that hard part need some patience kahit ako im still learning dahil ako mismo ay nag sstart palang sa ganitong photography first is you need to get the application sky safari or any thing na related sa star gazing stuff this app will let you know where and what time and what direction lalabas ang milky way. the tricky part is dpat i tindihi. mo gamitin yung mismobg app madali sya but may mga terms dun na hndi ako pamilyar then last thing is google map check mo kung saan direction meron mga liblib na lugar kung saan walang light pollution kas mag oover cast highlight mo pag may light pollutuon need mo tlga ng totally darkness :-)

ang gamit ko na lens is rokinon 14m 2.8 yup its a must na dapat 2.8 lens mo well if pang portrait ipatayo mo lng yung camera magagawa mo yun mag ppost ako ng portrait ahot light room pa din gnagamit ko for post processing

hindi sagad dipende sayo yun but for start as standard 2.8 siya. i mean yun ang starting point pag over expose then need mo itaas yung aperture mo. but i think hindi ka na lalagpas ng f4 then oo gumamit ako flash light pag nag external flash ka matapang ng oover expose sya but jan sa picture na yan ginamit ko yung external flash but manual ko triniger yung external ko at malayong malayo ako sa subject ko para hindi super tapang ng light paint ko

actually sir im on my way ma din sa pagssell ng prints ko but before i that gusto ko madami na ako gallery so im thinking of mag ipon shoot ng shoot as much i can new year resolution ko nga is every week at least twice ako mag sshoot to collect lots of images then if madami na go sell my prints na

oo flash light iso ko i can push it up to 4000 uubra kit but hanggang 5.6 lang yun so better kick your iso more higher

be specific in what you mean about workflow but now i already starting to do some panorama shots though panget ang 14m for panorama use dahil sa napaka lakas ng Distortion ping ppractisan ko mina sya While saving up for my proper Filters for my panorama set up. and yes need mo ng Filter i will recommend Lee Filters what kind Of landscape you will shoot i recommend buy a good combination of SE and HE for example get .6 SE and HE case combination to Blend Exposure if you can afford Lee Filters you will use it for a long run its worth investing then if gusto mo for Sunrise and Sunset use Reverse ND Filter there are 2 manufacturer providing that kind of Filter Singh Ray and Hitech Filters those two company are expensive but its worth glass young sa hitech Filters but sa Singh ray i think its a resin but the most best reverse ND filter are Singh Ray when it comes to reverse ND Filter.

now i really wanna go to the beach para sa creamy water effect :-D
if you will go to beach not just getting there yung important check mo if high tide and low tide :-) may mga locations na good for low tide meron din good for high tide :-)

nice good images its been a while since the last time i post some if my images. I've been really busy in my work so i've got no time to shoot and post some images. but at last i had a free time now i can post some new images i have.

Sir patanong nanaman ulit. You said that you stitched the photos you've uploaded recently. Meaning, you shoot from left to right, tama ba? Pero I've noticed na mala-HDR din yung mga photos mo. How did you do it? Did you take multiple exposure shots per portion din?

Sorry for the late reply yes i did took the shot from left to right then i merge it single exposure lang each photo when i merge it all together saka ko sya PP i don't really know how i did the PP cause i manually adjust it using LR4 until i came up like that if you like i can post the original image of that image so that you have a reference i cannot explaine how i processed it its just that happened by tweaking bit by bit by bit then until i knew its the final result here's the raw image after i merge 3 image shot (https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2917/13946747885_29785b510b_b.jpg)

Hey sir.. Walang filter.. Long Exposure lang.. sa Aperture.. Just close it to f8 and so on, mag kakaganyan na yang rays ng lights..
