Advanced Funk Studies by Rick Latham

Eto one of the BEST DVDs na napanood ko. Very informative especially for funk and fusion drummers. Ang favorite ko dito yung mga examples ng fills. Yung ilan sa mga fills nya almost similiar dun sa mga fills ni mike portnoy. Best of all 2 videos in one DVD 'to: Advanced Funk Studies and Contemporary Drumset Techniques pinagsama kaya hindi bitin ang panonood nyo. Try nyo 'to mga guys. Sulit ang oras nyo.

Technical Difficulties: Advanced Phrasing Concepts

I searched this on philmusic wala pa nag post so I'll post this for the benefit of all.

Hindi ko alam kung sikat 'tong DVD na 'to pero ayus na ayus sya especially sa mga phrasing techniques. Hosted by Pete Riley a UK drummer he demonstrated techniques like: hand to hand accenting, 6-stroke roll, odd grouping (compound sticking and hand/foot combination), double stops, single stroke rolls, double pedal application, open handed open hi-hats and inverted double strokes.

1hr DVD sya ok naman marami ka na din matututunan sa kanya.

Eto na cguro ang bibliya ng mga metal drummers: Intense Metal Drumming by George Kollias. Grabe sa bilis ang paa nyan at halos lahat ng dapat matutunan ng isang metal drummer ipapaliwanag nya. Sulit na sulit! Tatlong oras ng purong metal na kasiyahan... hehehe!
