Here's DAY 1 of the Event:
ABLETON LIVE WORKSHOP - July 3 & 4 - EMEX DAY 1 & 2
to be conducted by REUBEN SAMUEL aka BLASTIQUE!
Certified Trainer of Ableton Live, Violinist, and one of the very few classically-trained graduates of Sonic Arts from Middlesex University, Reuben has been dabbling with audio for a decade, while being involved in a whole spectrum of projects ranging from theater & commercial sound production to the world of Jazz, Rock & Electronica. In addition to releases on labels such as Electrofly (UK), Silo Recordings (UK) and Yellow Finger (UK), a collaboration on a Ministry of Sound compilation with Nu-Tandique, and regular nights at hotspots around KL including twentyone & Zouk, it’s interesting to note that Bach & Beethoven are his idols.
Achieving a high distinction at SAE International, he has produced several charted house and breakbeat numbers, has sonically branded products, and has performed in clubs around Malaysia and Australia. He has used Ableton Live intensively since 2005 and he has experience with Max/MSP.
Reuben currently runs Mile High Sounds, Asia Pacific's first and only certified Ableton Training Center. It is also a private music production, consultancy and educational institution, and specializes in teaching production, engineering and performance techniques with Ableton Live.
Courses Reuben teaches are split into 101 (basic) and 201 (advanced). Course topics include Getting Started with Live, Warping Modes In-Depth, Advanced Signal Flow, Mixing Techniques with Ableton Live and Improvisation.
He will also be introducing Ableton Live's next generation controller called PUSH!
Blastique will assisted by Manila's very own Ableton whiz, Madz Abubakar aka Abdel Aziz at the workshop!
