#1 rule in the jam - Listen to your jam mates, feel where they take you, so you all land on your feet in the end. Nothing worse then the showoff who ignores the rest of the band.

#2 - map out a beginning and an end to your solo, then pass the spotlight to the other guy. Maybe the solo order can be worked out before the tune - and then again, there's always "tinginan na lang, at kita kits na lang sa dulo". But hogging the solo endlessly makes it boring for everyone else - the band and the audience.
