i have Sugar Blue's Blazes album and he plays so flawlessly, i don't bother to use his album as reference. hehehe. napakalinis. hanggang 10 hole na lang heheh. Carey Bell, Gary Smith and George Harmonica Smith also use the chrom. in the blues context. One Jazz Chrom player i saw played blues was Robert Bonfiglio.

I started playing harp in high school using chromatic harmonica and got tutored by my lolo playing "kundiman songs"... never learned a damn note (sorry, lolo  :))... i ended up using diatonic... bought a hohner blues harp to supplement my passion for paul butterfield's music... but all those years of playing the harp.. from "kundiman" to the "blues" i still don't play the harp that good... "i'm more like a buttermelt than a butterfield when it comes to harp! haha"... ;D

@Okives:
Astig... sa Chrom ka nag simula....
Ako tremolo harps(yung parang double deck) nag simula. Mga Neil young naman.
Post ka naman ng sample ng "Work Song " version mo.

@Bammbamm:
Maraming harmonica players pero mostly tremolo at diatonic.

"Work Song".. damn. hehe.. pwede nako kunin ni lord pag nabuo ko na to hehehe :-D
Latest fave ko now is "Blues with a feeling" little walter and the butterfield version....
i'll try to post my take on that song if time and my sucky harp talent permits haha... but im pretty sure it's still gonna suck like melting butter.... :-D

Mga chromatic harp players out there... lupet nyo hehe... hirap mag-bend sa type ng harp na to... :-D

They don't need to bend the notes since you can just press the button and the note will move half tone up. There is no need since you have alll the notes there already. But you don't get the same tone as a bended note on a diatonic. The only way to bend a Chromatic is to take out the wind valves but that would ruin your harp for other types of playing. The tremolo is also next to impossible. hehehe. Aabangan ko yung post mo ng 'Work Song'.
