When talking about local prices on music instruments, most people seems to forget that the Philippines has a 35% customs duty on imports of everything music instruments. If you add other standard duties and taxes you get to about 60% on top of the import price.
and also the peso to dollar conversion when they import items. most people do not know that you will have to pay more to buy US currency
1 USD -> 41 PHP
43 PHP -> 1 USD
