Mga sir, I have an acoustic kit but currently exploring e-kit possibilities, I just want to inquire on who carries medeli and alesis here in the Phils? Among the three, including Roland, which has the most value for money assuming comparable models? Thanks

Medeli - Forerunner Music/The Music Source
Alesis - JB Music

PLEASE AVOID THE HD SERIES. go td if your budget permits it. may malaking issue ako sa pedals nya dahil yung contact points nun nagrerely yun sa lithium grease. there is metal contact point at the base of the pedal and there's a rubber stopper on the footboard. in between, there is a layer of lithium grease to minimize friction but more importantly, the grease allows the trigger to work. no lithium grease, no trigger, no sound.

kapag natuyo yung lithium grease (which will happen in 1 year) or dumumi ng husto yung pedal tapos pinusan mo yung loob ng pedals (wag na wag mo gagawin), yari ka na kasi yung akala mo na dumi e yun yung lithium grease. the pedals wont work without lithium grease

ang hirap humanap ng tamang lithium grease. RC hobby shops sell lithium grease but it is the wrong kind. kapag mali nailagay mo multiple hits palagi yung kick at hihat, false trigger lang sya palagi making the pedals also unusable. the only solution is create a kick pedal trigger and use a regular pedal then buy the roland fd-8 for the hihat controller.

this is from experience.

Post your kit, experience, questions and comments here.

I'll Start

Any modifications done?

Mine has an Akai xr20 portable beat production station attached to the td 82 module that acts as the main sound module of the drum kit.
It's connected to the existing module via midi cable then to a mixer, the old module will only now serve as a trigger link and the sound will come out of the xr20.

Oh, and it has a Roland V-drum decal skin

Pros & Cons:

- It sounds a lot better than the TD 82 module
- The snare trigger became much more responsive (Delay kasi yung snare ng stock)
- The Akai xr20 costs me more than the drum kit itself. ( T@nga hehe, )

To follow yung pics ng may akai xr20 di ko pa nakuhanan

PICS
