help on video transferring

i would like to transfer all of mah video from mah v8 tape to pc, i lost my software,

is there any other way to transfer? what wares do i need to buy?

assuming you have a good video card, you will need some capturing system like a capture card or firewire card. you can just use firewire if your the source of the video has a dv port.
