The new regulation is bad for touring musicians!
Diba? Let's say may tour kayo then all of the instruments you use have rosewoods in it. I-hohold nila lahat.
I understand the part that the people behind the regulation are protecting the nature e.g. cutting down new trees for this kind of business. Pero, bakit too soon? Wala man lang grace period para dun sa mga musikero haha.

It does not apply to instruments shipped within the borders of your country or instruments carried for personal use while traveling internationally [unless they contain more than 22 lbs. (10 kg) of the regulated woods]. An electric guitar usually weighs between 7-11lbs (3.5 - 5k kgs) in total.. The rosewood content there (fingerboard and/or neck, usually) would only be a fraction of the weight.
Now, it should be clarified if the 10kg rosewood content would be "per instrument" or "sum of all rosewood" for all items considered. The latter would be very hard to get an exact weight, though. Haha.
