in my gig experiences, mas maganda ang voicing ng Zoom G2.1u ko sa Marshall amps kesa Fender or Peavey (nagiging matalas masyado pag sa dalawang amp na yun, specifically sa Bandit and 112). maybe sa tweaking din... tatlong dirt models ang pinaka-effective after kong pina-scalarze kay sir Jobet ang G2.1u ko: BG drive (boogie recti), and both marshall models.

yung preset na heavy boogie patch (00) na linkin park ang gamit ko ngayon for nu-metal sounds, pero tinanggal ko ang reverb, and adjusted the EQ para mas lumitaw.

pero most likely hybrid setup talaga ang ginagamit ko (pag sinipag akong magbitbit ng pedals, hehe).

totoo yang marshall thing na yan. Mas swabe ang G2 (even stock) sa marshall amps. last time, meron kami fellowship sa marilao, Boston Eng. Amp ang gamit nila doon, medyo nag pihit-pihit pa ako. Pero yung gamit namin sa church na Marshall, it sounds good. (actually naisip ko kahit hindi ko muna gamitin yung HM200 ko)

I've tried it with an HM100 and ok na ok ang abot ng gain if you're into metal music.

Pedal suggestions na pwede ikabit sa g7? Modulations and dirt. Still tweaking and enjoying it.

For me, the best emulation sa g2 in which analogs od can drive into is the JCM800 emulation. It's the best for all around playing pop, rock, or... whatever. Hehehe. I dunno kung sa g7 or g9 ganun rin.

Para sa kin ung Diezel din tsaka yung Marshall JCM 2000 patches, medyo tweaked down lang yung Gain settings nila at konting EQ shaping sa gusto mong maging tunog.

mejo old skul na ung mga zoom efx ko. iv been using a zoom GFX-1 for 4 years now and the only problem iv had is the tiny buttons for tweaking and storing patches. nakaktamad din mag ayos ng patches e. kaya im looking to change to analog peds. pero di ko bibitawan to. im planning on buying a BOSS distortion and and EQ, tapos dunlop zakk wylde wah, tapos ung mga modulation efx ko sa zoom galing. maganda kaya ang kakalabasan? sino nakatry na nito?

im using a g1 zoom guitar efx...i just cant get the sound that i like...im using an ED patch gain=20 low=2 mid=4 high=4 znr=4 delay=T1(10) reverb= R1(10).. it really sounded crap. i wanted a sound which is really heavy like those of hardcore and metal bands but with much clarity of sound upon picking and stumming. please help me guys i really nid help

Lunardeath, try the marshall emulations, nC (with compression and booster) or nD (compression, low gain, get the drive from the booster level).

pasali din ako dito. merun din akong zoom 505(8 years na and still rocking),then g1(binenta na), g1x(binenta ulit) saka ngayon yung gfx5(1 year).. ngayon merun na akong mga analog like distortion, eq...kulang ko na lang is wahwah, ibanez/fender, marshal amp saka pedalmax. hay dami pa palang gas.....

- BOSS distortion--->BOSS EQ--->Zoom multifx(for modulation efx)--->dunlop wylde wah--->amp

any insights guys? maingay ba ung ganitong setup?

My g2.1u is modded by both ricabb and BAMF.

no regrets. look for my reviews in ricabb07's modding topic and "bamfx pedal mods".

tondoguitar, my setup is analog comp>dist>od>g2.1u>tube pre> eq. Look at the customized pedalboard topic.
