bros, i need your opinions on the following:
Boss DS 2
HM 2
MT 2
OD 2

I'm thinking of buying one and use my g2.1u for modulation.

thanks!

and i tried the zoom plus mt2 combo angas ng tunog. lumalambot tunog ng mt2 ala lng

thanks bro!

This is my opinion(im biased cause I dont like Boss' compact pedals and prefer EHX, though :-P)

Ds2=Mediocre
HM2=Too shrill
MT2=not as shrill as the HM2, could sound good with some mods
OD2=I haven't heard this yet. :-D

I'd recommend a Boston Heavy Metal if you want the MT2's sound but with less harshness. :-)

Hi guys i have a question about Alexan pedal mod kits!

Un po bang nabibili sa Alexan na pedal/effects kit me kasama napo bang housing yun ng pedal? or me benta silang separate? or ung kit lang ang binebenta nila then ako na bahalang humanap ng kaha ng mod pedal? tsaka po pwede bang ipagawa sa kanila ung effects mismo pagkabili? kasi po i have ZERO knowledge with regards to electronics, so i would like to know coz i plan to buy some at Alexan and have a Turbo Overdrive FX.

and if someone could post Alexan's number and their branches i would be very grateful.

I'm sorry for all the questions! Thanks very much! :mrgreen:

may kasama nang housing yun, ang problema yung "footswitch", kasi instead na footswitch ang ibibigay, parang toggle switch lang yung kasama. :-D

I have a question on floyds. Would it be better to keep the ball ends of the strings and use those to stop strings from slipping at the tuning post? Does this method have an advantage over the normal way of wrapping the strings at the tuning post? Thanks in advance! :-D
This is how it looks like.

IMHO wag sagad. Give some more allo9wance kasi yung dulo nang string before the ball makapal ang pagka wound. Much better you vind the sting with and even wounded surface.

tanong lang mga bro...

i noticed na parang kinakain na nung hum yung signal nung guitar ko when played through my ds 100, same thing through my hm.. kahit di sagad yung gain merong deep hum. let's say im playing an arpeggio.. <very slow arpeggio..> dinig lahat nung notes kaso p[arang kinakain nung hum yung signal ko.. tipong nag-mu-mute yung buntot nung note.. mahirap i-explain.. heheh wala kasi akong sound clips..

i'm using a tele. i tried shielding it pero ganun pa rin. could it be the way this guitar has been wired or is it the amp? or could it be the powersource for the pedal? currently running on a 9 volt battery..

my tele is the only guitar i have with me right now kaya di ko masabi kung sa guitar lang ung problem..

Supposedly, SIT strings are better for floating bridges. I've never tried them. I just use regular D'Addario strings. They work for me.

@oist - try plugging the guitar straight into the amp. then try swapping cables. Then check the wiring of the guitar, look for any bad grounds, either lifted or grounded improperly. Check the pedal for bad grounds as well.

So, when cutting, would it be safe to let the ball rest against the tuning posts and then cut the other and near the fine tuners to give a bit of allowance?  :-)

Don't let the ball rest on the tuning post give it more allowance because before the ball end makapal wa ang pagka wound nang string. Let the even wounds wrap around the tuning posts.
