Meinl Generation X Jingle Filter China
« on: September 02, 2008, 08:26:40 PM »
Hi guys. I was looking for an effects cymbal to add in my drum kit when i saw this unique and cool cymbal from Meinl (one of the big four cymbal makers). It's called Meinl Generation X Jingle Filter China. As you have read its name, it has three jingles attached to it so when you hit it, it has a rattling sound.

Here is its website: =SERIES&tx_twmeinlcymbals_products[navId]=6&cHash=74e5f69e6a]http://meinlcymbals.com/products.html?tx_twmeinlcymbals_products[mode]=SERIES&tx_twmeinlcymbals_products[navId]=6&cHash=74e5f69e6a
Just look for the Jingle Filter China and try the sample sound.

So what can you say about this cymbal? Is it available in the Philippines?

best way it to really try it pero yun nga eh kung available..

thanks for the insight. could you elaborate more on your opinion of this cymbal? do you think you wouldn't use this cymbal much whenever you create a drum solo, practice drums, or play songs? I'm aware this isn't available in the Philippines but I will be going to USA this Dec 2008 and plan to buy a new cymbal specifically effects cymbal to complement my kit. (BTW, i'm not good with tagalog because i'm a Dumagueteno/Bisaya  :-D)

i personally love the sound of the filter china. very unique, and i don't think other cymbal companies have an equivalent-sounding model for it. i don't know anything about the "jingle" version though. siguro nasa taste mo yan. punta ka sa meinl site, they have clips for most of their cymbal lines.

Pakinggan mo and let your imagination fly..

If you have big sticks or is a heavy hitter, then baka mag work din sayo yon (assuming of course fit dun sa song)

I think yung trash hat ni benny greb ok yon, medyo mas flexible (though hindi sya china he hehe) .
