All make really good gear. I've used a Toft desk in the past - solid piece of equipment very similar in feel to the Midas Venice series if you can use those.

i have the joe meek vc1 studio channel - a mic pre with instrument insert, phantom power, lo cut filter, compressor, and enhancer.  it's definitely pro grade, ... a unit with its own unique character.  the enhancer is useful not just for vocals but sometimes on bass, etc. the compressor is quite useful :)
