to: dude from TMS

sir, i'm interested.

actually, im in the market right now and my eye was really on the roland  v-drums TD3 being sold at about php52k, until i saw this post. if you're familiar with the roland models, they are mostly marketing nowadays their mesh type heads to get a realistic feel and "bounce" on the pad--- will this affect playing or is it more just a personal preference?

for the medeli, how's the response on the DD506 in terms of dynamics? like, if I hit it hard or soft, will it react the same way?  also, I heard that the hihat pad can't keep up with fast hits.. maybe there is some adjustment option which will help?

being china-made, I honestly do have my initial reservations (well, if you think about it, practically everything is made in china nowadays anyway) because of the reputation of china-made products. with that, how do we go about the warranty? and the parts like pad replacements, defective electronics and repair. possibly, what if I  wanted to buy additional pads or cymbal triggers and mounts, will you be having available spare parts for those as well?

I'm quite suprised searching medeli in youtube and finding that it is already being distributed in europe and some parts in US. hope you can assist me on these queries.  kindly PM me also contact number and directions to your store please (where exactly in EDSA).

thanks,
dfr

The Good: You can replace the heads with remo/evans/aquarian etc... 8" para same feel pa rin sa acoustic drums.
The Bad: Hirap Humanap ng 8" heads satin!!!

for the medeli, how's the response on the DD506 in terms of dynamics? like, if I hit it hard or soft, will it react the same way?
The Good: Mas malakas palo, mas malakas ung magenerate na sound nung triggers
The Bad: Malakas/mahina lang ung change sa sound, pag hinataw mo ung crash ng mahina, "full crash" sound na mahina ang lalabas.

also, I heard that the hihat pad can't keep up with fast hits.. maybe there is some adjustment option which will help?

The Good: Hmmm... I think this is yet to be proven
The Bad: Wala adjustment as far as the DD502 is concerned

The Good: One year ang warranty ng Medeli E-Drums
The Bad: Wala pa available expansion parts na binebenta

review naman ng DD506 bro... meron din bang "brushed" sound diyan? un kasi reason kaya kinuha ko ung DD502 (aside from the huge price difference). According to Joy, wala daw sa DD506 ung parang brush ang gamit mo sa kit.

medeli drumset or roland td10
« Reply #196 on: December 16, 2008, 07:07:10 PM »
Guys I need your advise...

i have 30 thousand pesos. Nag iisip ako kung dapat bang medeli na bnew kuhanin ko or yung roland td10 na second hand na may kasamang ampli na roland din.

yung roland kumpleto ang di ko lang alam kung meron yung tdw-1.

what if walang expansion card yung td10? mas ok pa din ba sya kaysa sa medeli drumset?  :?

thanks sa inputs nyo.. GODBLESS..
