In fact, yes, nangyari na nga sa akin, a few times.
Though it wasn't my fault, because the drumheads (in particular, the bass drum heads) were already badly worn out, to the point of breaking down anytime. Nagkataon, bumigay yung mga heads during our performance. So I kept my cool. And it's a good thing that nobody has charged me to pay for the head or replace it.
As an advice, before every performance, inspect the house kit first. In this case, if you notice that the drumhead's not in good condition, inform immediately the technician or whoever's in charge of the gear before you start the gig. That way, they won't be able to fully blame you, in case they have that dirty intention.
And in case a drumhead breaks down, and there's no replacement head available, better be ready with your MacGyver mode. If the bass drum batter breaks down, thick duct tape can be a temporary solution.
