Dudes, I’m planning to start a Design a Guitar Body and Headstock contest. The designs should be unique and as much as possible does not follow the industry standards. Please see below for reference:
Guitar Designs which became Industry Standards
Firebird (1963)
Explorer (1958)
Telecaster (1949)
Stratocaster (1954)
Flying V (1957)
Les Paul (1940)
SG (Solid Guitar) (1961)
Mockingbird (1975)
Warlock (1981)
Steinberger (1979)
I haven’t given much thought about the mechanics of the contest but I’m planning to go with the following:
• Limited to 2 entries per member. Only PM members as of 8/26/2010 are eligible to join the contest.
• Image sizes should not exceed the rules and regulation prescribed maximum size (640 x 480 pixels)
• Only one winner will be selected
• The prize will be any item or items equivalent to P20,000.00 which can be bought from the PM classifieds (to keep the money inside the loop)
• Deadline for submission is January 15, 2011 (Deadline may be extended depending on the number of entries received)
• The winner will be announced before the end of January 2011
• The prize amount will come from the TS (region III)
Any thoughts?
Thanks Sir markflo for answering my query.
