Panalo tunog ng radiant na sweet series.... yung medium at rock mejo natatalasan na ko, yung sweet swabe hehe.

Just got my second hand Mehmet Sultans today! Excited to try them out this weekend.
The signatures underneath, are those really the signatures of Mehmet? They don't look stamped.

Any tips on how to remove the logos on top? Baka kasi mag-iba yung kulay nung unlathed part kung gumamit ng harsh chemicals.

thank you, thank you, i am immensely happy  masaya naman din ako sa furia splash at SH china ko, so isang crash na lang kulang sa setup ko! 

First impressions tapping the cymbals lightly inside a mall:
- ang sarap ng overtones ng ride. I thought it was super dry, but it's still more like a traditionally lathed K/HH, or maybe an RBDR or something (haven't heard it though). Pero super sweet ng overtones.
- crash is okay. not that particular with crashes though. wanna see how it sounds like in a volume swell
- the hats I'm not sure yet. probably the one I might swap out if it turns out to be too dry or have a crappy chick.

I just don't like the logos on cymbals (not that I hate the Istanbul logo;they're actually pretty nice). And they look really clean and neat without them. they don't look like they have to face a certain way (medyo OC lang). And they don't get marred by black stick marks that transferred from the ink. And did I mention it looks clean, especially when mixing different cymbal brands. Oh if they don't have logos on top it feels less guilty to actually strip the cymbal and let it age faster (plus I'd have to take extra care of it with regular cleaning, which in itself is a nice hobby). I've stripped the logos from my Sabian B8's and Stagg SH's. I probably won't remove a Sabian Paragon's logo if I had one though, it looks almost invisible.

THE HATS!! tama ka, the hats may lack volume for pop/rock stuff, but its the perfect hi hat for cooking! sobrang swabe! it sounds like rendering bacon fat I swear I was pleasantly surprised. I do miss the stick definition though, as it's really warm, and I use the hats for ghost notes and accents. I'll go check if the bottom hat is heavier maybe I'll switch it up with the top one for a more solid chick and stick sound. but these hats. COOKING NG INA TALAGA. sobrang sarap siguro nito i-record. maybe I'll get a brighter top hat a la K/Z to get my stick sound back. I think I'll never let go of these.

The ride is also sweet, sufficiently dry for my taste, and the bell is dry, resonant, and cutting as fck. Since it's handmade, it has a sweet spot right below the "Mehmet" so I'm thinking of having it keyholed. just maybe. and yes, very crashable! it does have a weird overtone in the wash that sounds kinda clanky (weird, I know). I already love this ride to bits, but I'd only let go of it for a better dry ride (ehembiganddirtyehemdontjudgemeehem) or a K Heavy ride

The crash is meh (16"). Sounds great, but I think I want something else. Dry crashes aren't really my thing. I think I can sell that. I'll think about it

Nice feedback for Sultans and congrats on your new pies sonicassault.  Hoping this month, mapalitan ko na yung Planet Z ko with Sultan or combo ng Sultan/Traditional.

Sultan/Traditional sounds like a good combo! If that was me, I'd get Sultan hats and ride, then a Traditional Crash. but then again that's just because I find the Sultan crash too dry for my taste. Wet, dark crashes do it for me!

18 sultan crash, yes... i use it with my 16 in samatya crash, i traded my 16 k hybrid crash, mas may character yung samatya, the hybrid was too simple and straightforward...

i can imagine the sultan with your HH duo sir...sarap siguro ng combination, feeling ko mas ok sya sa k hybrid

i agree! the samatya has a lot in store in terms of sound. and yes, the K Hybrids are a one trick pony.

i think Samatya is even better than Radiant pag sa crashes. ganda lang ng splashes ng radiant.

Thinking of getting an 18 for the main crash (maybe a traditional or sultan or Stagg SH/DH), pero problema ko nyan yung secondary crash na plano ko 18 na crash ride sana, or yung may butas (holey/ozone), baka masyado similar yung tunog

yun nga eh. gusto ko sana yung aux crash ko pang crash riding talaga (Sabian calls this technique "Wash Riding", for their APX line promotions), eh ang hirap maghanap ng crash ride na mura. I find crash rides have a more stable swing than crashes (minsan kasi sa next downstroke mo nasa baba pa yung cymbal kaya nawawala sa rhythm.
