I've heard this alot of times na from touring musicians.
Totoo kaya to?
Inputs naman from people who has experience and pwede narin explain in tech terms.

I do not have actual experience on this but I would assume the humidity/temperature change here as a possibility behind wood character change.

send natin to sa myth busters!

What's a fact is that may tendency mag-iba ang formation ng wood dahil sa sudden change of humidity. Worst case na ang warping. Known fact din ito among guitarists with guitars. Pero medyo matigas naman ang maple, so less prone ito to warping than, say, mahogany.
Pero shet, may darating akong tom from the states soon. Sana hindi pumangit ang tunog. Tag-ulan pa naman, humidity galore.

humihinga kasi ang kahoy.. tulad nga ng nasabi na, na humid talaga dito sa atin. it plays a big factor on the shell. pero in my experience, wala namang pagbabago. sa mismong shell or sa maple hoops nung snare na nakuha ko sa ibang bansa. yun lang, mabilis mawala sa pagkakatono... pero i think that has more to do with the wood hoops than the maple shell itself.
