I'm really enjoying the Cross album by Justice right now. It reminds me of Daft Punk, only darker and squelchier.

-
would you guys consider BT as an electronica artist?
Definitely. I believe he assembled the soundtrack to the Doug Liman's film Go (starring a pre-Tom Cruise Katie Holmes).

You can put it in that category. Medyo may pagka-rock yung ibang mga kanta niya.

Ano ba difference ng Electronica sa Rave?
-
Electronica is the umbrella term that encompasses subgenres of the music forms like house, trance, drum n' bass, trip hop, etc. Rave is the event you attend to listen to electronic music. It's heydays were in the 90's when abandoned buildings and such were used as makeshift venues for these shows/promotions.

yes it is. techno shares the same 4 to the floor beat but is harder and loopy. there's minimal techno though which has very minimal sounds/patches.
some artists to check out
Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson.

I'd also recommend Matthew Dear. His album Asa Breed was killing it on dance floors just as hard as LCD Soundsystems' album last year.

Check out System 7 and Shpongle, two of the best psy-trance groups out there right now. System 7 also has guitar on it by none other than the great Steve Hillage, of Gong fame.

This is cool.. Kaya lang ang hirap hanapin sa Torrent..

I'm enjoying Dan Boeckner's other music project, Handsome Furs. He works on the music here with his wife, Alexei. This stuff is different from Wolf Parade in a sense that they use more electronic beats. If you like Wolf Parade's stuff--especially Dan's quivering yelp, then this would be easy to get into.

holy christ you like your d&b on the ruff side huh? im not sure about that newer stuff, seems a bit too brash for me. i like smoove stuff like ltj bukem and john b although it does sound a bit dated now...
anyone into dubstep (http://www.subfm.com/listen.php)? been having a play with that stuff kinda addictive, kawawa speakers ko sa bass...benga, skream, burial, horsepower productions...what i like about dubstep is that its not as rigidly defined as other edm forms. they take it to different directions all tied in with a love(obsession?) with bowel loosening wobbly bass...
i have a soft spot for early 90s edm since thats when i got into this stuff in the first place: orbital, leftfield, autechre, junkieXL, speedy j, squarepusher of course...dami pa...
also like a bit of tech house on occasion...
guilty pleasures: schranz (adam beyer, carl liebing)...and m.i.a. :-D

Pick up The Juan Maclean's latest album The Future Will Come like, now!
You'll appreciate the way they pay homage to The Human League on some tracks...like this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBGs8JkVkFY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBGs8JkVkFY)
Also try looking for the Kitsune Maison compilation series. If you want your House coming from a more rock music standpoint, this would be a good starting point.

Hell yeah. I love all the Kitsune Maison compilations! Especially their newest..
Kitsune 6 "The melodic one". A bit tamer but still with that "Kitsune flavor".
But all their compilations are really sound more electro-rock as you've said,
which I love about them :-)

Well electronic/electronica/electronic music is the umbrella term for all of it actually regardless if it's dance or not. Techno is a genre with tons of sub genres under it. Some would also argue that techno is a general term not only for something that can be considered dance
