Title: calling all productions
Post by: bakit? on September 29, 2008, 03:28:10 PM: feel music collective and pi sigma fraternity will be holding the very first fully independent arts and music festival on dec 5,2008 at up diliman.its going to be a 24 hour festival,featuring performances from the best in the underground scene today from all parts of the country.from blues to reggae to scorching punk and metal to electronica.we will also feature independent artists from all media.basically independent minded filipinos will be featured.
intrigued?we need productions because we believe that you are the best people in the scene and are in the musical battlefields all the time.

if you wanna take part in this very ambitious project please pm us or give us a call, hoot or a tap. wed like to discuss how you may take part in this project which will be held as an annual event starting this year.mabuhay ang tunay na undergroud scene!

thanks.help appreciated bro.no ticket selling?hmmm i practically instituted that bro here and in other prods i and friends have founded.hehehe.
not that its not a good thing,its a big project and you have to understand we are independent and not rich so a little ticket selling and little here and there might be needed.its and an ambitious project and one of the most,as far as i know planned and creative fests to ever hit the scene.i say no to ticket selling if its forced,but i say yes as long as it does not rob you and your hard earned money.as long as that money goes towards worthwhile causes,like buying decent equipment and gears for no ticket selling prods like middleclass,banda bandila,shameless,konkreteink,flashmob,feel music collective etc ec.why the hell focking nuts?tama?

but lets talk that is always my mantra,lets plan an attack,lets collaborate.get out of that doggone cages in our mind and think outside given parameters.testing lang muna.

i always say:

id rather aim for the stars and fail, than aim for the gutter and win.

sure sure.as always reasonable naman tayo,we dont want a one time flop.
another mantra that i have is:

help the production(or collective or group or org) that helps you.

napapansin ko sa mga banda ngayon gusto lang:

1.tumugtog, no responsiblity(hmmm..)
2.tumugtog ng trip nila na time
3.tumugtog pag madami na tao
4.tumugtog at mag pasikat
5.tumugtog ng tumugtog without regard sa mga hirap na dina danas para mabuo yung gigs.

as far as i see it,lalakas ang eksena di dahil may mga no ticket selling prods.lalakas kasi nag kakaintindihan ang lahat,may rules ng konti ang rocknroll,freedom comes with responsibilty boys.

dami pa kasi bs sa bizness e,pero we are trying to change that.no lates, no rockstars no big headed personalities.walang businessman pero may mga planners at may mga solid na aims and goals.

its getting stronger and will still get stronger but the scene neeeds a foundation, a valid excuse to rock and roll.

My partner from Madrigal Studios (consortium of Geffen based in SF Ca, USA) called me about it, said it was featured and saw the vids and highlights of the event. I didn't get to watch it on cable though i was busy with some of Music Zone's upcoming projects.

Sa mga nagpledge ng tulong, this is the time for you guys to stand up for your word. We get a lot of pledges and promises to help but sad to say, when it comes for the time na magseset up na ng meeting they are nowhere to be found.

Gasgas na yung linyang, we need all the help we can get, but its true. This is a very big event that we're trying to put up but we dont really want to obligate people and tie them with us, all Im saying is that if you're willing to contribute lets meet and talk. Pag-usapan natin kung sang aspect nung event tayo magkakaron ng lugar.

So yun nga, the meeting is on monday, Nov 17 at the Genre Bar in Cubao, if you have a band and you also want to play punta lang kayo. But this gig is mainly for the meeting para sa Dec 5 event. Sana yung mga pupunta yung gusto talaga tumulong.

Jong was there on a nearby "tambayan" (I think its where his frat used to stay all the time) but you guys wouldnt know it because you didnt have any means to contact him, Anyway if I keep this up its going to sound more and more like an excuse instead of an apology. So moving forward please come tomorrow at Genre Bar, Cubao Expo (formerly Marikina Expo) and we'll have a meeting/gig there.

you made your point na dude, nag-sorry na nga yung mama, i was at vinzons too, but of course sobrang lapit lang kami (taga-ricarte/dagohoy lang kami ), but the point is -Jong may not be your conventional nice guy, but still a nice guy nonetheless, just try hanging out with him, we actually did last night at Genre Bar and I can say he really has passion for helping out bands like us.

Not that I belittle you pare, honest talk lang, kung may nagsakripisyo ng matindi para sa event, sya yun. In my opinion, nandun talaga sya sa vinzons, marami lang talagang nangyayari pag nawawala ang cellphone, nangyari na rin sa kin yan once, I almost break-up with my girl kasi akala ko inindyan nya ako sa meeting namin. Bsides, if you were really that meticulous as you seem to be, dapat pumunta k na lang dun sa frat tambayan kasi kung talagang sinubaybayan mo yung thread & other related threads from the beginning makikita mo na this event is also a recipe of the Pi Sigma fraternity. Ok, pare, just purge the grudge out of your system and let the love radiate out like a magnetic field, love begets love. LOVE - what a wonderful thing. I believe in love. I believe in Music.
