Title: recording live music using an mp3 player

Here's the deal. I have a creative muvo n200 mp3 player. It has a built in mic which is great for voice recordings. It also has a line in which can be used (this I haven't tried) to rip audio casette tapes or vinyl records into mp3. I tried using the mp3 player to record a live band and it totally sucked. The built in mic is too damn sensitive such that everything -- the drums, guitars and vocals -- sounded distorted. Any work around to this? Thanks in advance.

try mo gumamit ng mixer.... kabit mo s line in nya..... :)

o kahit hanap k n lng ng mic na ok

tpos hmmm proper micing oks n cguro..... di ko sure kung oks ung quality nung audio pero try mo n din

Yun din ang naisip ko kaso wala akong mixer. :D  Gusto ko din subukan yung mic ng PC. Baka sakali mas matino ang sound. Hmm...

it might work though I've never tried it. i record direct line-in through my laptop or through my recording PC since I worry about the signal going into the red when I am recording straight from my DJ mixer.

i use adobe audition on my laptop and steinberg's wavelab on my recording PC. i usually record 44.1 at 32 bit float for max resolution.
