Guys i was just wondering, have you seen your guitar hero screw up during live performance?

yeah, i have! one of my guitar heroes is sugizo from luna sea... i've seen this one concert of their's called revive or something like that and during the solo of the song slave he plays a wrong note and it's so bloody obvious. he actually messes in up quite a lot of the songs during this one concert... :shock: but they just came back from hiatus so i guess that's one reason?
also, kirk hammett from metallica! if any of you have cunning stunts, he messes up during fuel... during the chorus right after the guitar solo, hehe.
i dunno if this next one can be called a screw up but i've seen this one live performance of bauhaus' passion of lovers and daniel ash (the guitarist) goes to play guitar on his knees 'cause he's bad ass like that but his guitar strap falls down so like, he continues playing the song on the floor 'cause his strap's like... around his knees now, lol. :?

hehehe nkktuwa pg nkita mo sila na sumabit noh... pero cool pa din!!!.. di nababawasan pg hanga ko.....
patunay lang na tao din sila.... ngkakamali din.... kahit naman sino cguro meron mga araw na ganyan.......
minsan na experience ko yung parang... nkapag ensayo naman ng tama.. pero parang ang lagkit ng kamay ko.... di ma explain....
napapasisp tuloy oks naman nung nakaraan ah... bat di ko magawa ngyon ng ayos ngyon!!... minsan naman parang may sakit yung kamay... nanlalamig.. minsan ngpapawis.... etc.

Yes. Joe satriani sa g3 with malmsteen. yung first song na mag kasama sila hahaha laugh trip umiiling sya and the other one would be LTE nagkamali ata si petrucci sa timing or si portnoy ewan ko bsta huminto sila sa universal mind hahahaha

Bilib pa rin ako sa kanila at least hindi nila ine-edit out yung mga sabit nila.
Pinakamalala ata sa Vai Live at the Astoria DVD pa rin, yung kumakanta naman si Billy Sheehan nang sintunado sa buong kanta. Chameleon ata yon.

My idol John Frusciante does a different solo each time. Sometimes he screws up. During the Californication performance at the Top of the Pops (parang Myx Live meets Myx Hit Chart dito, for those who don't know :D), dami niyang sabit sa solo. The song is in A minor but he plays notes from A major.

Major sabit (6:01) at the descending run starting 5:58. But the rest of the 7-minute solo is f%$king precise!

:roll: ewan ko lang kung sabit nga ito. Yung concert nila sa "live & kicking: Japan" ...yung solo part nya. paglipat nya ng switch ng PU biglang nawala ung sounds. nways, baka sinadya nya un... :lol: idol pa rin, forever! ...green tinted sixties mind!!!

Si Yngwie Malmsteen ang pinaka idol kong guitarist. Sa timings naman wala akong nakikitang sabit siya. Sa solos naman minsan me string na hindi napipindot ng maayos. Siguro dahil sa taas ng action niya. Pero minsan, me lead runs cia sa mga instructionals na sablay kapag ginawa niya na yung slow version nung lick.
Na notice ko lang e dun sa Far Beyond the Sun niya with the Jap Philharmonic, nabuhol yung PL niya after magpaikot ng gitara. Nakalimutan siguro niya na di siya naka wireless....

Hindi naman dapat question yung pagsabit e, ang importante kung pano sila maka-recover galing sa mali.
Kung gusto nyo makarinig ng walang sabit, makinig na lang kayo ng MIDI

ive seen paul gilbert an sumabit... umm.. sa korea clinic nila. tinugtog nia ung mount fuji christmas.. isang note sintunado hehe:) mali ung na pindot nia.. pero carry parin.. isa pa sa guitar solo nia with mr. big.. ung run na mabilis... binend nalang nia:) pero idol ko sha sobra!!

Brian May has a lot of boo boos too! On one Queen/Paul Rodgers concert, at the start of the first song which starts out with a guitar riff (Tie Your Mother Down), he precedes it with whammy bar antics and broke a string upon striking the initial chord. So the whole song was out of tune, is was 1/4 step higher than the rest.
Another instant: while playing his extended solo showcase, the cable accidentally slightly got unplugged. So for a minute or two, he was looking what went wrong onstage and recorded on video, you can see it on DVD.

There was one live bootlegged recording I heard of Pantera wheren si Dime, sumabit. (si Dime?! sumasabit?! parang impossible ano?). Parang nagbend siya na may pumitik. Tapos huminto yung buong Pantera-as in tumigil sila. Tapos nagsalita lang si Anselmo ng.."second verse!" tapos tumuloy na sila ulit ng second verse. tapos sobrang tight na hanggang end nung kanta.

Balita lang siya nung highschool days ko, well up to now im not so sure parin, natatawa lang ako kung totoo. Yung mga batang 90's im very sure may nakakaalam ng chismis na ito. Sa mga nakakalam o nakarinig dati share naman kayo heheh

Hindi talaga siya sabit chief. EVH played the solo a couple of minutes or less ahead than expected because MJ gave him the signal way too early. The moment Michael shouted Edward's name (EDDIE!, EDDIE!), VH thought that was it. Take note, EVH was having problems with his volume, he couldn't hear himself that much, you can tell at the first few seconds of the video, Eddie was instructing or yelling at someone asking him/her to adjust or raise up the volume of his guitar.

There are times that a band would require an extra amp miked in an isolated room backstage, possibly because they have someone to play over them once the guitar player starts screwing up or is too busy humping and jumping.
A lot of bands are guilty of this. KISS, AC/DC, and POISON (notoriously before they cut the crap with CC)

I don't know, man..has this thing been proven? I'm skeptical about the whole idea because I find the stunt quite impossible to execute or perform. I mean, what if the "backline musician" did or played something that didn't sync with what the real performer was doing? :|

Damn! this one made me cry. Almost like seeing Jose Rizal being shot by the spaniards. My hero messed up bigtime but he is a lot better now. I saw sa biography nya na he was really scared of performing this time. He thought his magic was completely gone. Good thing its not. No to heroine!

not really screwing up pero ang sagwa eh. yung concert ng soulfly, may kulangot si Max Cavalera, kitang kita sa butas ng ilong nya, tinatry ko di pansinin at enjoyin yung music pero nakakdistract talaga eh.
