Title: ASSEMBLED GUITAR EFFECTS? ANYONE?
Post by: mon116ph on April 04, 2006, 03:14:16 PM
I think kaunti lang ang nakaka alam ng tindahan na ito sa RAON.

They have

OVERDRIVE
CHORUS
DIGITAL DELAY (ewan ko kung DIGITAL NGA)
OCTAVE
REVERB.

Galing daw ng TAIWAN..I remember this shop kasi during my HIgh School days noong time na di ako makabili ng EFFECT eh dto ako bumibili..

Eheheheheh

OVERDRIVE worth P 200.00 pero kayo ang mag assemble.

Tsaka yung CASING nya ay PLASTIC..

Meron ata SA DEECO.

Cno marunong mag assemble?

I use that sa isang GIG and its sounds decent naman.

CUSTOMIZE your OWN STOMPBOX (heheheheheheh)

May paper or instruction to assemble naman ito eh.

--that was the time nung sa binondo pa lang ang alexan --- my early teenage days

ngayon andami ng alexan branches -- pati sa megamall meron na....

what do you mean by assemble? you'll solder the parts urself? or is it already soldered together, casing na lang ang kulang? thanks.

I bought a tube overdrive at alexan. I had it assembled by an electrician, its still with him so i have no idea how it sounds.

Care to post reviews of your alexan peds?

Ahhh. You're talking about Integrated Opto Electronics Labs. They've changed their name to Tanioka Electronics Labs. They now reside somewhere in Paranaque. Their fuzz boards only cost P 35 apiece back in the early 90's, assembled na, you just supply the pots, switches and case. It was based on the Fuzzface.

Maybe my ears were not as matured as they are now (they hurt easily these days) but I found those to be relatively decent despite being cheaper than Alexan.

My first and only "distortion" effect from Alexan was the Distortion pedal. I didnt like it. Anyway, the Tube Overdrive pedal, if I remember correctly, has its clip diodes across the feedback loop of the OP-AMP. It should approach the Tube Screamer sound. But don't take my word for it just yet, I'll look at the schematic if and when I drop by Alexan again.
