3 250K pots.  that is assuming your strat has a S-S-S configuration.  the general rule is 250K pots for single coil pickups, and 500K pots for humbuckers.

I have an issue with my humbuckers on my 335 copy. I think they sound a bit muddy - will 1MEG volume and tone pots do the trick?

sir marco, is the muddiness present throughout the range of the volume pot? kung sa low-volume settings lang, you can try a treble-bleed capacitor across the volume pot's terminals. you can also try flipping the pickup to reorient the polepieces.

if both options don't give positive results, then the 1 Meg volume pot is your best option.

first thing, drop the sir. thats my only request. :)

It's present even in the highest position. I'm also thinking that it might be because my bridge pickup has a higher output than usual - what irks me most of the time is that even with no pedals on, the sound breaks when i hit the strings hard. i've done the treble bleed cap on my strat and it was superb. .001 uf right? :)

i'll try out that 1M pot real soon.thanks

Actually stock values nga yan e.

Higher value pots and lower value caps will make your sound more trebly and vice versa.

First, asssuming your pickups are true single coils, 250K pots are your thing.  They drain the highs so that you can get  a much fuller tone.  But say you wanna add more bite to the tone, 500K pots are better.  Some Teles have 1M pots to add more twang.
