hello all, i need some help.
for performances, i'm running a dynamic mic through a TC Electronic VoiceTone Correct (Output Connectors: Balanced XLR, Output Impedance: 40 Ohm, Output Level @ 0dBFS: +2dBu).
i plan to further run that through a TC Electronic SCF Stereo Chorus guitar pedal (Input Impedance: 1 Mohm, 1/4 TRS)
third in the chain is a Line6 Pocket Pod. this is a guitar effect but the manufacturer claims you can also run vocals through it (they even have presets for voice). there is a standard guitar 1/4 TRS input and a 1/8 inch output that they say can be run directly to the PA system, and also an unbalanced 1/4 TRS output.
What kind of DI boxes/level converters/cables will I need and where should I put them if I want to run my vocals through this to the house mixer? what should i do to keep the sound techs from having fits?

Well, if you initially start with levels down then work your way up, you can find a safe setting that will not overload the mixer's inputs. There will be some impedance mismatch, but if the sound is what you want, then it is a perfectly livable compromise.
I used to route an inexpensive dynamic mic (which had unbalanced 1/4" PL connections) through my Sansamp GT-2 straight into mixer line inputs without problems - I was trying to mimic a megaphone type vocal . Nothing blew up then. :-D
