Ever wonder why the story is a bit twisted?
The Theory
At the end of disc one, Squall and Friends face Edea on a parade float in Deling City. After the fight, when Edea seems defeated, she conjures an enormous ice shard and propels it through Squall’s chest. Squall stumbles back and falls off the platform. He sees Rinoa above, reaching to him as he falls. Squall closes his eyes and dies. The entire remaining game time, from the beginning of disc two to the second half of the ending movie, is a dream.

does any other part of the game explain this??
what about the ending? is that why squall seems to be in the middle of nowhere

madami talagang magulong events sa FF8 lalo na kung papansinin mo ng mabuti... kaya lang naman hindi napapansin nung iba kase mas naka focus sila sa action or dun sa love story or kung gusto lang talaga nila matapos yung game
hindi na nila naisip kung bakit nasa ganong lugar yung setting or baket ganito or bakit ganon

madami talagang magulong events sa FF8 lalo na kung papansinin mo ng mabuti... kaya lang naman hindi napapansin nung iba kase mas naka focus sila sa action or dun sa love story or kung gusto lang talaga nila matapos yung game
hindi na nila naisip kung bakit nasa ganong lugar yung setting or baket ganito or bakit ganon
onga ehh...natouch nga ako sa game nun na-piece together ko yung storya.....kaya pala ginawa ang seeds,at first sinasabi na nag train sila para talunin yung sorceress pero later on it was just of edea's plan to reunite with her beloved orphans...
gustong gusto ko yung scene sa basketball court ng trabia garden,nagkkwento si irvine tapos malalaman nila na childhood friends pala silang lahat sa orphanage...kaya lang nila nakalimutan is because too much use of the GF affecting thier memories..it made thier bond stronger as a team and as a family

wow, that's a very very interesting angle.. never viewed the story that way.. if ever yan nga yung totoong story ng FF8, i think that would make it all the more different than the others in the FF series..

may nadownload yung ka-opisina ko na FF8 game for PSP.. kaso disc 1 and 2 pa lang kaya ayun, napasama ulit FF8 sa mga games na nilalaro ko.. hehe

Anyway, back to topic: I believe this is just one of those numerous FF8 theories out there. I can't find the Ultimecia = Future Rinoa theory website...
As for the Dead Squall Theory, the Squaresoft team should have released a follow-up pre/sequel if the theory is indeed correct (like Advent Children/Crisis Core on FF7).

Try nyo basahin yung FFX: Prequel to FFVII theory. It's semi-legit. Dude who wrote the story of FFX and FFVII confirmed himself.

i find Emerald Weapon of FFVII more challenging, (nung grade 5 pa naman ako nun) :-D

i remember it was just a long battle pero kaya naman.. ganun din naisip ko that time, parang hindi naman ganun kahirap unlike what most people say..
pero siguro it helped din kasi yung squall ko level 99 nung nilabanan ko sya.. tas yung iba level 95+ hahaha :D

Kelangan mo lang talaga iequip ung status effects sa defense mo. Preferably 100 ang stock mo para 100% din ang defense. talo na yan si marlboro.

True. Actually hanggang ngayon di ko pa natatalo si emerald weapon. Mas madali nga si omega sa ff8 as long as you have the right magic junction into your stat.
Ang sarap magkaroon ng 100pc holy wars out of laguna card. After exchanging, pwede mo mabawi lahat ng rare and character cards mo sa ragnarok. So kahit mauubos mo holy wars mo, pwede ka ulit kumuha ng laguna card and exchange it to another set of holy wars.

may isa palang glitch ang final fantasy 8, before mag engage sa galbadia garden, try nyo dumaan muna sa orpahanage, ayun maghahang na yun hehe ( Disc 2 ata yun)

Basta everytime na naglelevel up ka, naglelevel up din ang mga kalaban. So if you'd notice pag bumalik ka sa ibang monsters, mas malakas sila kaysa before.

na notice ko yun dun sa T Rex na kalaban, lumalakas din habang naglelevel up, or yung kay Diablos, pag di mo kagad kinalaban mas mahirap talunin :-D

Oo tama. Akala mo na pag pinalipas mo talunin si diablo mas madali na kasi nakapaglevel up ka na. pero hindi. kasi siya rin lumalakas.

di naman mahirap talunin si diablos at any level....advantage mo panga yung binubog ka nya,madalas ka mag limit break....it only takes about 2 renzokukens to defeat him basta naka-equip sayo yun +STR ability ni ifrit,(sya lang gf mo at that time pagbigay ni cid ng lamp)...kala ko din nun una mahirap
saka no match ang mga dragon monsters kay diablos
btw has anyone tried tonberry king and jumbo cactuar without lionheart? hehe

gamitin mo si selphie at gamitin mo yung limit break nya na The End. wala nga lang excitement pero mabilis mo matatalo ang omega weapon. hindi nga lang agad lumalabas yung The End so kelangan mo siguro balik-balikan yung limit break nya until may option ka na for The End.

masyado akong nalibang sa soundtrack nung ending na, di ko napansin na posibleng dream sequence na lang ni squall yun. pero that is very interesting. sana gawan din ng movie ang FFVIII katulad ng FF VII Advent Children para may closure. :-D :-D :-D

When i fought omega weapon my line up was Squall, Rinoa and Zell, try to use rinoa's limit break, yung invisible moon, that's the best way to beat omega weapon, and magdala ka maraming maraming hero drink, i was level 80 or less when i fought omega weapon.

very nice theory.. and yes.. i need to back track a little bit for that, the good old days nga naman,,, The PS1 days. grabe, dati wala pa kong PS1 nilalaro ko na ff8, nag rerent lang ako which is sobrang gastos.. memory card lang meron ako. yung binili ko pa yung transparent astig.. tas sobrang naastigan sken mga naglalaro din ng ps1 dun sa street namen kasi ako lang may sarili ng memory card.. grade 2 ata ako nun or 3.. hahah.. nakakatawa.. tas pag nag sawa na ko mag ff8, dance dance revolution sa dance pad na nakapatong sa cardboard or sa tabla na may plastic cover.. haist.

ako naman when i heard na may ps1 emulator sa PSP....kumbaga naging unfinished business ko tong ff8 kase nasira ps1 ko when i was about to finish disc 1 a long time ago...eh since talagang addicted ako sa larong to,i made it a point to finish it kahit minsan lang...and i did it!
