Title: help with my basic set up
Post by: zisnarf_miranda on April 26, 2010, 06:20:28 PM
i just got Audacity last night because i need to record some riffs for my bandmates since I'm living a bit far from them now. Here's what i have now.

1.laptop
2.audacity software (already installed)
3.my guitar
4.korg ax30g mulit fx
5.dean markley amp

question: can i just plug my guitar to the korgax30g then plug straight to the laptop then record? actually i tried it awhile ago but then the sound was not so good (does this set up have any bad effect to the laptop in the long run?) or should i use a mic plugged to the laptop then mic the amp instead?

any suggestions?

thanks. :-D

@ TS

my previous post is your cheapest/best option (UCA-200 @ 950 php).

could you help out this guy as well? ---> http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,185115.0.html

apparently, he doesn't know how to ask a question.
