lots of good brands in the market.  for handheld wireless mics,  i stick to shure.  for lavalier types,  i still go for mipro.  their lapel mics are exceptional  8-)

Sennheiser 100/300 G2 sets are about the minimum standard to look for, excellent value for money.

I have a few sets of these.  Although the SM58 cap is indeed "the" standard in the live sound industry, but I would have a hard time calling it the best of anything.  It's averagely decent for me.  I would rather go for a wireless transmitter cartridge with the Beta58 cap (SLX2/Beta58) for a close comparison with the Senn's 835 cap on the EW135 G2.  You'll just add around 2k for the Beta58 handheld cartridge upgrade.

+1 for both Sennheiser and Shure.  Check out the Shure PGX series too.  They come in with different capsules like the Beta58 and SM86 aside of course from the SM58 stock. Hook up was straight forward and pairing was painless! It's as comparible in terms of performance with the SLX but less expensive this time.  I think Shure has improved this line extensively through the years.  Comes in with free carrying cases unlike with Sennheiser wherein they are bought separately.

..ei bro, freeport is not advisable for pro audio lalo na sa rentals, what I know is freeport is just an entry level of wireless mic sa sennheiser.. basically for small churches, and schools... it has 4 fixed channels lang, and need mo pang iikot para malipat yung mga channels niya.... kaya 4 mics siguro but make sure lahat ng 4 channels ay clear, walang gumagamit na ibang same frequency (walang banggaan)...

Agree!  The Senn 100 series is their bottom of the line.  Although I do not question Senn's wireless reputation over the years since I also own some Senn G2s,  Senn guys must check the market twice since Shure's PGX is below the 30000 peso range and the SLX is slightly above the 30000 peso range.  This is a far cry from the 50000 and above peso range of the new Senn 100 G3.  :?  :?

Sennheiser 100 series G2 & G3 hand held and receiver are made out of metal and still being manufactured assembled in the USA, except the capsules which are still Made in Germany... while other brands are made out of plastic cases and Made in China, for me I don't like to see a Sennheiser G3 that is made out of plastic and Made in China.  :-D  :-D  :-D

Dude,  the mic caps of AKGs are far better than the SM58s we know.  The reach is typically 150 to 200 feet line of sight.  What amazes me is it only uses (1) AA battery for each transmitter.  A bit of a downside is the TRS connection at the rear panel but no big deal really.

stoney73.  This AKG is a must have.  Compared with the entry level Mipro duals,  I find the AKG "more pro".

+ 1 on the above

I bought this AKG and I never expect that its performance was that great, and the battery really last that long, and thats another beauty of this. Less feedback compared to other mics, even if you crank up the efx.

Lifted from Sweetwater's Wireless Microphone: Buying Guide

Choosing A Wireless Mic For Live Performance:
When choosing a wireless mic for live performance, there are a number of factors to consider. Naturally, good sound quality goes without saying, but there are other equally important factors as well:

The mic should be rugged and reliable in order to hold up to the rigors of nightly live performance and travel.
It should be comfortable and easy to hold while performing.
It should have good resistance to feedback.
It should be able to handle high SPL (Sound Pressure Levels).
Of the characteristics mentioned above, the mic's ability to resist feedback requires a little more in-depth discussion. Resistance to feedback is where the mic's polar pattern comes into play. The polar pattern determines the "listening area" of the mic. A cardioid or super-cardioid pattern tends to be more directional, picking up sounds from in front of the mic and rejecting sounds from behind (such as stage noise from monitors, amps, etc.). This will typically increase gain before feedback, which makes either pattern more desirable for live use. One mic with good sound and incredible gain before feedback, is the Shure Beta 58.

Generally, the mic of choice for stage has been dynamic mics like the Shure SM58 or the Sennheiser MD835 (go for the Senn  :-D) , because they're rugged and can handle high SPLs (and ravenous roadies) since the diaphragm is more rigid than that of a condenser mic. The trade-off is slightly less response to transients resulting in a less detailed sound than with studio condenser vocal mics. Hoping to combine the best of both worlds by offering studio-quality sound in a hand held stage mic, a number of manufacturers have introduced a new generation of road-worthy condenser mics.

mga sir anong ginagamit niyong battery for the wireless? regular 9 volts? alkaline 9 volts or yung rechargeable?

thanks

i've tried rechargeable NiMH batts. for our wireless before but gave them up in favor of alkaline. the discipline of maintenance (recharging, etc.), lack of reliability, emptying without warning are just to much to worry about. i get my batteries from Mayer Photo at Palanca cor. P. Gomez Sts. in Quiapo, wholesaler of batts. (primary or secondary), films, also cameras, video equipment, etc. so the stocks are always fresh. and the prices will surprise you.
